Abstract

Balita merupakan kelompok beresiko tinggi terhadap penyakit dimana terjadi proses tumbuh kembang yang sangat cepat, kekurangan maupun kelebihan asupan zat gizi mempengaruhi status gizi dan kesehatan balita. Faktor dalam keluarga yang ikut berpengaruh dalam proses perkembangan balita adalah pengasuhan. Penelitian cross sectional ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tipe pola asuh orang tua terhadap pola makan (jenis, frekuensi, jumlah asupan energi) dan status gizi balita di kota Malang. Pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling (n=60). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode pengukuran antropometri dan 3 hari penimbangan makanan. Diperoleh tipe pola asuh orang tua yang paling sering dilakukan yaitu tipe pola asuh permisif (43,3%). Pola makan balita dilihat dari jenis makanan beragam sehari yang baik (36%), frekuensi yang baik dengan 3 kali maka utama dan 2 selingan (72%), dan jumlah asupan energi yang mencukupi sesuai angka kecukupan gizi (76%) terbanyak terdapat pada tipe pola asuh autoritatif. Status gizi balita sangat kurus dan kurus (11,5% dan 34%), gemuk (19,2%), gizi buruk dan kurang (38,4%), gizi lebih (7,7%), sangat pendek dan pendek (57,7%) mayoritas terdapat pada tipe pola asuh permisif. Analisis hubungan tipe pola asuh orang tua terhadap pola makan makan berdasarkan frekuensi dan status gizi berat badan menurut umur (BB/U) dan tinggi badan menurut umur (TB/U) balita diperoleh p value < 0,05, sehingga terdapat hubungan antara tipe pola asuh orang tua dengan status gizi (BB/U dan TB/U) pada balita di kota Malang tahun 2015. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan tipe pola asuh terhadap pola makan berdasarkan frekuensi makan dan status gizi balita berdasarkan indikator BB/U dan TB/U, sehingga perlu perhatian oleh orang tua dalam mengasuh balita.

English Abstract

Children under five years were a group at high risk of disease where there was very fast growth process, deficiency or excess intake of nutrients was influencing the nutritional status and health of children. Families’s factors that influential in the process of child development were parenting. This cross-sectional study aimed to determine parent’s parenting style to diet pattern (variation, frequncy, amount of energy intake) and nutritional status of children in the city of Malang. Respondent was conducted with a purposive sampling method (n = 60). Data collection was conducted using anthropometric measurements and 3 days of weighing food. Retrieved type of parenting style most from permissive parenting (43,3%). Diet children under five years seen from good variations in a day (36%), a good frequency with 3 times the first and second interlude (72%), and total energy intake that was adequate for the nutritional adequacy rate (76%) most were the type authoritative parenting. Nutritional status of children were very thin and underweight (11,5% and 34%), overweight (19,2%), poor nutrition and less (38,4%), nutrition (7,7%), very short and short ( 57,7%) the majority are in the type of permissive parenting. Analysis of relationship parent’s parenting style to diet pattern based on the frequency eating and the nutritional status of weight for age (W / A) and height for age (H / A) children under five years obtained p value < 0,05, so that there were a relationship between parenting style parent and nutritional status (W / A and H / A) in children under five years in the city of Malang in 2015. The conclusion from this study, there were a relationship parent’s parenting style to diet based on the frequency of eating and the nutritional status of children based on the indicator W/A and H/A, so that the necessary attention by parent in caring for children.
