Abstract
Diabetes Melitus (DM) merupakan penyakit gangguan metabolik yang ditandai peningkatan kadar glukosa darah melebihi normal. Pola makan tidak seimbang (asupan tinggi energi dan karbohidat) dan kurangnya aktivitas fisik menyebabkan obesitas. Metode screening obesitas menggunakan RLPP. Usaha pengendalian DM dengan pengukuran RLPP berfungsi untuk mencegah terjadinya komplikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan asupan energi dan karbohidrat dengan RLPP pada pasien DM Tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional, jumlah responden 32 orang, dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Asupan energi dan karbohidrat didapatkan menggunakan kuesioner estimate food record, RLPP didapatkan dengan pengukuran lingkar pinggang dan panggul. Penelitian ini didapatkan hasil asupan energi responden kurang (90,6%) dan asupan karbohidrat kurang (84,4%), RLPP responden kategori beresiko (87,5%). Berdasarkan hasil fisher’s exact test asupan energi (p 1,000) dan karbohidrat (p 1,000) dengan RLPP. Disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara asupan energi dan karbohidrat dengan RLPP pada pasien DM tipe 2.
English Abstract
Diabetes melitus (DM) is a metabolic disorder that is showed by the increase of blood glucose levels more than normal condition. The unbalanced diet (high intake of energy and carbohydrate) and the lack of physical activity will cause obesity. The obesity screening method used in this reasearch was the ratio of waist and hip circumference. The Diabetes melitus control efforts by the ratio of waist and hip circumference is used to prevent complications. This study aims to know the relationship of energy and carbohydrate intake with the ratio of waist and hip circumference in patients with diabetes melitus type 2. This study used a cross-sectional approach, the respondents were 32 people, selected by using purposive sampling method. The energy and carbohydrates intake was taken by the result of estimate of food records questionaire that filled by respondents, the ratio of waist and hip circumference was obtained by measuring the waist and hip. This study showed that the energy intake of respondents is 90.6% and carbohydrate is 84.4%. it means that they are less. The risk category of waist and hip ratio of respondents is 87.5%. It is based on the results of Fishers exact test, energy intake (p 1.000) and carbohydrates (p 1.000) with the waist hip ratio. It is concluded that there is no relationship between energy intake and carbohydrates with the waist hip ratio in patients with Diabetes Melitus Type 2.
