Abstract
Konsumsi serat makanan sayur dan buah yang cukup dapat mengurangi risiko obesitas dan membantu menurunkan berat badan. Sebanyak 89,3% WUS di Indonesia kurang mengkonsumsi sayur dan buah. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan antara konsumsi serat makanan sayur dan buah dengan status gizi WUS Suku Madura di Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Desain menggunakan cross sectional pada 96 WUS berusia 18-44 tahun bersuku Madura. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling di 7 kelurahan di Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Data konsumsi serat menggunakan SQFFQ dan status gizi menggunakan IMT melalui antropometri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan median konsumsi serat sebesar 10,1 (2,2 ; 32,1) gram/hari. Sayuran sering dikonsumsi harian sedangkan buah dikonsumsi bulanan. Sebanyak 23% responden mengkonsumsi sayur dengan porsi sedang dan 52,9% mengkonsumsi buah dalam porsi kecil. Sebanyak 54,1% responden berstatus gizi overweight dan obesitas. Rata-rata IMT responden adalah 25,4 ± 4,95 Kg/m2. Tidak terdapat hubungan konsumsi serat makanan dengan status gizi (p = 0,460). Kesimpulan penelitian adalah tidak ada hubungan antara konsumsi serat makanan sayur dan buah dengan status gizi pada responden penelitian.
English Abstract
Consumption of dietary fiber in vegetables and fruits can reduce the risk of obesity and help to lose weight. A total of 89.3% WUS in Indonesia consume not enough fruits and vegetables. The research objective was to determine the association between dietary fiber intake of vegetables and fruits with nutritional status WUS Maduranese in Kedungkandang District. Using cross sectional design and 96 Maduranese respondents at 18-44 year-old. Purposive sampling used in 7 villages in the District of Kedungkandang in Malang City. Fiber consumption data collected using SQFFQ and nutritional status using BMI through anthropometry. Results showed median score of fiber intake was 10.1 (2.2; 32.1) grams/day. Vegetables were consumed daily while fruits were consumed monthly. As many 23% of respondents consumed vegetables in medium portions and 52.9% consumed fruits in small portions. A total of 54.1% of respondents were overweight and obese. The average BMI of the respondents was 25.4 ± 4.95 Kg/m2. There was no association between dietary fiber intake and nutritional status of respondents (p = 0.460).
