Abstract
Manusia memerlukan konsumsi pangan yang beragam setiap hari untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi. Magnesium merupakan zat gizi yang penting bagi tubuh antara lain berfungsi sebagai kofaktor lebih dari 300 enzim yang terlibat dalam metabolisme komponen makanan dan sintesis pada banyak produk metabolik. Kekurangan magnesium dapat berkontribusi pada penyakit jantung, hipertensi, kanker, gangguan kehamilan, dan pre- menstrual syndrome. Wanita usia subur merupakan salah satu kelompok yang beresiko mengalami kekurangan magnesium. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan keragaman konsumsi pangan terhadap asupan magnesium pada wanita usia subur di Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Rancanga penelitian ini berifat Cross Sectional dengan teknik sampling “Purposive Sampling” pada sampel berjumlah 65 orang. Keragaman konsumsi pangan dan asupan magnesium diperoleh dari metode single 24 hours recall. Analisis bivariat dilakukan dengan uji Spearman Rank Correlation. Dari hasil uji statistik antara Keragaman konsumsi pangan dan asupan magnesium mempunyai p= 0,002, dan r=0,369 yang berarti ada hubungan yang signifikan. Keragaman konsumsi pangan dengan rata- rata 4 jenis dan asupan magnesium dengan rata- rata 164,32 ± 66,45 mg. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan yang signifikan antar variabel namun keeratan hubungannya lemah dan berpola positif yang artinya semakin tinggi skor keragaman konsumsi pangan maka akan semakin tinggi asupan magnesiumnnya.
English Abstract
Humans need dietary diversity every day to meet the nutritional needs. Magnesium is an essential nutrient for the body, among others, serves as a cofactor of more than 300 enzymes involved in the metabolism of dietary components and the synthesis of many metabolic products. Magnesium deficiency can contribute to heart disease, hypertension, cancer, disorders of pregnancy, and pre-menstrual syndrome. Woman of Childbearing Age is one of the groups at risk for magnesium deficiency. This study aimed to determine the relationship of the diversity of the food consumption of the magnesium intake in women of childbearing age in the District Kedungkandang Malang. The design of this study is cross-sectional sampling technique "purposive sampling" in the sample amounted to 65 people. The diversity of food consumption and intake of magnesium is obtained from the single 24 hours recall method. Bivariate analysis performed with Spearman Rank Correlation test. From the statistical test between the diversity of food consumption and intake of magnesium has p = 0.002 and r = 0.369, which means there is a significant relationship. The average score of the diversity of food consumption by 4 and the average intake of magnesium 164.32 ± 66.45 mg. The conclusion from this study is that there is a significant relationship between variables, but the closeness of the relationship is weak and positive pattern, which means the higher the score the diversity of food consumption, the higher the magnesium intake.
