Abstract
Mekanisme koping adalah proses dimana seseorang mencoba mengatasi stress atau masalah yang sedang dialami. Mahasiswa yang mekanisme kopingnya maladaptif akan mengalami stres dan menimbulkan beberapa respon fisiologis, diantaranya meningkatnya asam lambung. Kekambuhan gastritis akut terjadi kembali ketika adanya peradangan atau luka pada mukosa lambung. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analisis, korelasi cross sectional dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kemampuan mekanisme koping dan frekuensi kekambuhan gastritis. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling dengan jumlah 36 responden. Dari hasil analisa data diperoleh hasil 53% memiliki mekanisme koping maladaptif dan 47% memiliki mekanisme koping adaptif. Sedangkan untuk insiden kekambuhan gastritis, 9% tidak pernah kambuh, 33% menunjukkan kadang-kadang, 33% menunjukkan sering kambuh, dan 25% menunjukkan sangat sering mengalami kekambuhan gastritis. Hasil korelasi Spearman didapatkan hasil r = -0.758 dengan nilai p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan mekanisme koping dan frekuensi kekambuhan gastritis dengan arah yang negatif, yaitu semakin tinggi kejadian frekuensi kekambuhan gastritis akut, mekanisme koping yang mereka miliki akan cenderung maladaptif. Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan mekanisme koping dan frekuensi kekambuhan gastritis akut pada mahasiswa di Poliklinik Umum Rumah Sakit Universitas Brawijaya.
English Abstract
Coping Mechanism is a process where people try to address stress or the issue address the issue at hand. A student who have maladaptive mechanism will be subjected to stress and give rise to some the physiological response, such as an increase in gastric acid. Recurrence of acute gastritis happened again when when the gastric mucosa being inflammation or injury. This study used the analytical design, cross-sectional correlation with the purpose to determine the relationship between the coping mechanism and the recurrence frequency of gastritis. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with 36 respondents. From the data analysis results obtained 53% have maladaptive coping mechanism and 47% have adaptive coping mechanism. As for recurrence of acute gastritis, 9% never indicated, 33% rarely relapse, 33% often relapse, and 25% the acute gastritis indicated very often relapse. The results showed Spearman correlation r = -0.758 with p = 0.000 (P <0.05), which means coping mechanism and the recurrence frequency of gastritis have an enough relationship with the direction of the negative correlation. that is the greaterlevel of Recurrence of acute gastritis, the mechanism coping coping that they have will tend maladaptive. The conclusion of this study is a significant relationship between the ability of coping mechanisms and frequency of recurrence of acute gastritis in students at the General Hospital Polyclinic Brawijaya University.
