Abstract
Sesuai data dari rumah sakit Gambiran Kota Kediri tahun 2013 jumlah penderita diare sebanyak 565 dan tercatat 486 pasien untuk tahun 2012. Cuci tangan pakai sabun terbukti efektif mencegah penyebaran penyakit menular seperti diare, tipus, dan cacingan. Perilaku cuci tangan yang tidak benar masih banyak ditemukan pada anak-anak sehingga dibutuhkan pengawasan dan menumbuhkan sikap serta kebiasaan cuci tangan pakai sabun. Anak usia sekolah merupakan usia yang rentan terhadap masalah kesehatan, dan seorang anak perlu mendapatkan perhatian dan pengawasan yang ekstra untuk menjaga dirinya dari penyebaran penyakit menular. Timbulnya masalah tersebut ini dikarenakan beberapa faktor salah satunya lingkungan bermain atau teman sebaya serta rendahnya sikap anak dalam berperilaku menjaga kesehatan terutama cuci tangan pakai sabun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi sikap dan dukungan teman sebaya terhadap perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun anak usia sekolah. Desain penelitian menggunakan studi corelasional pendekatan cross sectional. Pengambilan sampel dengan cluster proportional 160 anak kelas 1 sampai kelas 6. Hasil menunjukkan ada hubungan bermakna antara sikap dan perilaku cuci tangan anak usia sekolah dengan nilai p = 0,000, ada hubungan antara dukungan teman sebaya dengan perilaku cuci tangan anak usia sekolah dengan nilai p = 0,000, sikap anak merupakan faktor dominan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara sikap dan dukungan teman sebaya dengan perilaku cuci tangan pakai sabun anak usia sekolah.
English Abstract
According to the data from Gambiran Hospital Kediri City in 2013 the number of patients with diarrhea as many as 565 and 486 patients recorded from 2012. Handwashing with soap was proven effective in preventing the spread of infectious diseases such as diarrhea, typhoid, and worms. Many children that didn’t correct to applicate handwashing behaviour so it needed supervision and foster attitudes and habits of hand washing with soap. Schoolchildren are vulnerable to health problems, and they needed to get extra attention and supervision to keep them from spreading infectious diseases. The emergence of the problem was caused several factors, one of them playing environment or peers and poor attitude of the child in maintaining healthy behavior, especially handwashing with soap. The purpose of this study was to identify the attitudes and peergroup support for handwashing with soap for school-age children. The design for this research was using cross sectional correlational studies. Proportional cluster sampling with 160 children in grade 1 to grade 6. The results showed no significant relationship between attitudes and behavior of school-age children wash their hands with a p value = 0.000, there was a relationship between peer support handwashing with school-age children with p value = 0,000, the attitude of the child was the dominant factor. This study concluded that there was a relationship between attitudes and peer support with handwashing with soap school-age children.
