Abstract

Perlemakan Hati Non-Alkoholik adalah suatu kondisi medis yang ditandai dengan endapan lemak dalam hati, meskipun orang tersebut minum sedikit alkohol atau tidak sama sekali. Salah satu faktor risiko utama Perlemakan Hati Non-Alkoholik adalah dislipidemia. Dislipidemia yaitu kelainan fraksi lipid yang salah satunya ditandai dengan tingginya kadar TG (Trigliserida) di dalam sel hepatosit hepar yang melebihi batas normal. Bubuk daun katuk mengandung antioksidan berupa flavonoid, beta-karoten dan fitosterol yang mampu mengendalikan kadar trigliserida sehingga mencegah terjadinya Perlemakan Hati Non-Alkoholik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bubuk daun katuk terhadap kadar Superoksida Dismutase (SOD) jaringan hati tikus yang diberi diet aterogenik. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian Randomized Post test Control Group, dilakukan pada 25 ekor tikus Wistar jantan yang dibagi secara acak menjadi 5 kelompok. Kelompok pertama K (-) adalah tikus dengan diet normal (kontrol negatif), kelompok ke-2 K (+) diberi diet aterogenik (kontrol positif), dan 3 kelompok perlakuan (P1, P2 dan P3) yang diberi diet aterogenik dengan subtitusi bubuk daun katuk 6%, 9% dan 12%. Pemberian bubuk daun katuk diberikan secara per oral setiap hari selama 60 hari. Parameter yang diukur adalah kadar SOD jaringan hepar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata kadar SOD tertinggi diperoleh pada kelompok P1 yaitu 11,13 ng/mL dan kadar SOD terendah diperoleh pada kelompok K (+) yaitu 8,13 ng/mL. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian bubuk daun katuk sebesar 6% berpengaruh meningkatkan kadar SOD jaringan hepar tikus putih dengan nilai p = 0,003 (p < 0,05)

English Abstract

Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver is a medical situation of characterized by the deposition of fat in the liver, although the person is drinking a little alcohol or none at all. One of the major risk factors of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver is dyslipidemia. Dyslipidemia namely abnormal lipid fraction which is marked by high levels of TG (triglycerides) in the liver hepatocytes cells that exceed normal. Katuk leaves powder contain antioxidant such as flavonoid, beta-caroten and phytosterol being able to control TG (triglycerides) levels so as to prevent the occurrence of Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver. The objective of study was to find out the effect of katuk leaves powder against the liver tissue Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) levels of rats with atherogenic diet. This study used a design studies randomized post test control group, conducted on 25 male Wistar rats divided randomly into 5 groups. The first group K (-) are rats with normal diet (negative control), second group K (+) was given the atherogenic diet (positive control), and tree group of treatment (P1,P2 and P3) was given a atherogenic diet with substitution of powdered leaves of sauropus androgynus 6%, 9%, and 12%. Katuk leaf powder was given orally in 60 days. The parameter has been measured was the liver tissue SOD levels. The result showed that the highest level of SOD were observed for P1 group were 11,13 ng/mL and the lowest level of SOD in treatment group were observed for K (+) group were 8,13 ng/mL (p = 0,003). It can be conclude that giving 6% of katuk leaf powder have significant effect for increase liver tissue SOD levels of white rat with p value = 0,003 (p < 0,05)
