Abstract

Saliva adalah sekelompok cairan oral yang kompleks. Saliva memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karies. Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) mengandung gugus aminoglikosida, tannin dan saponin yang bersifat sebagai antibakteri sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pH saliva. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui pengaruh sari jus lidah buaya (Aloe vera) terhadap pH saliva. Penelitian ini menggunakan True Experimental Design yaitu Posttest Control Group Design. Konsentrasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 16%, 20%, 23%, dan 26%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh sari jus lidah buaya (Aloe vera) terhadap pH saliva. Analisa data menggunakan uji Korelasi dan Regresi dimana terdapat pengaruh pemberian sari jus lidah buaya (Aloe vera) terhadap pH saliva 82%. Uji One-Way ANOVA menunjukkan nilai signifikansinya 0,000 (p<0,05), terdapat perbedaan pH dan nilai absorbansi saliva buatan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan.

English Abstract

Saliva is a group of liquid oral complex. Saliva have an important role in the formation of carious tooth .Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) containing aminoglikosida , tannin and saponin which is as an antibacterial that can affect the saliva ph .The purpose of this research is aware of the influence of juice cider of the Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) of the saliva pH .This study using true experimental design namely posttest control group design .Concentrations that are used in this research is 16 percent , 20 percent , 23 percent , and 26 percent .The results of research shows there is the influence of cider juice of the Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) to the saliva pH Data analysis using the correlation and regression where there is the influence of the provision of juice cider of the Lidah buaya (Aloe vera) of the saliva ph 82 percent . One -Way ANOVA test showed significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), there are differences in pH and absorbance values artificial saliva significant between the control group and the treatment group.
