Abstract
Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif adalah ketika bayi hanya diberikan air susu ibu tanpa diberikan makanan atau cairan lain termasuk air putih selama 6 bulan pertama setelah kelahiran. ASI eksklusif telah diakui sebagai alat kesehatan masyarakat dalam pencegahan primer pada kesakitan dan kematian anak. Cakupan ASI eksklusif di Kota Malang tahun 2012 mencapai 71,13%, angka ini lebih tinggi dibanding Kabupaten Malang sebesar 57,9%, sedangkan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wonokerto pada bulan September 2013 hingga bulan Februari tahun 2014 sebesar 42,8%. Suami memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung keberhasilan menyusui dan meningkatkan angka menyusui. Salah satu faktor lain yang berperan dalam keberhasilan menyusui dan bisa diubah adalah kepercayaan diri dari ibu menyusui. Kepercayaan diri dalam menyusui adalah keyakinan yang dimiliki ibu dalam kemampuannya untuk menyusui bayinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis adanya hubungan antara tingkat dukungan suami dan kepercayaan diri ibu dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Wonokerto Kabupaten Malang. Desain penelitian case control study menggunakan rancangan observasional dengan teknik purposive sampling dan jumlah subyek penelitian 62 orang. Pada penelitian ini ditemukan adanya hubungan positif tingkat dukungan suami (p-value < 0,001; r = 0,492) dan kepercayaan diri ibu (p-value = 0,005; r = 0,351) dengan pemberian ASI eksklusif. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah perlunya peningkatan peran serta suami dan pelaksanaan program yang dapat meningkatkan kepercayaan diri ibu.
English Abstract
Exclusive Breastfeeding is when the baby is given only breast milk without given any other foods or other liquids including water during the first 6 months after birth. Exclusive breastfeeding has been recognized as a public health tool in the primary prevention of morbidity and mortality in children. Coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Malang in 2012 reached 71.13%, this figure is higher than Malang districts of 57.9%, while in region of Wonokerto’s health centers in September 2013 to February 2014 amounted to 42.8%. Husband had an important role in supporting the success of breastfeeding and increase breastfeeding rates. One of other factor that plays a role in the success of breastfeeding and can be changed is the self-efficacy of breastfeeding mothers. Self-efficacy in breastfeeding mothers are held belief in her ability to breastfeed her baby. This study aims to analyze the relationship between husband support and maternal self-efficacy level with exclusive breastfeeding at Puskesmas Wonokerto, Malang districts. Design of case-control study design was observational study with a purposive sampling technique and the number of research subjects 62 people. The conclusion from this study is that there is a positive relationship of husband support level (p-value < 0.001; r = 0.492) and maternal self-efficacy (p-value = 0.005; r = 0.351) with exclusive breastfeeding. Suggestions of this study is the necessity in increasing husband’s role and the implementation of programs to improve maternal self-efficacy.
