Abstract
Obesitas adalah peningkatan berat badan melampaui batas kebutuhan fisik dan skeletal, akibat penimbunan lemak tubuh yang berlebihan. Obesitas pada lansia dapat menimbulkan beberapa masalah kronis sehingga kondisi ini menyebabkan kelemahan sendi, pembatasan mobilitas dalam kemandirian lansia. Obesitas dan lansia merupakan salah satu faktor risiko dari osteoartritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada hubungan antara obesitas dengan sindroma osteoartritis pada lansia perempuan di wilayah Posyandu Lansia Dinoyo RW V Kota Malang. Rancangan penelitian ini adalah studi observasional deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel diambil dengan non probability sampling yaitu total sampling dari semua pengunjung lansia perempuan yang datang ke posyandu lansia Dinoyo RW V, jumlah responden sebanyak 42 orang. Analisis data secara univariat bivariat dengan menghitung prevalence ratio dan melanjutkan dengan uji statistik Chi Square jika hasilnya positif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan lansia perempuan yang obesitas (61,9%) dan lansia perempuan yang merasakan sindroma osteoartritis (35,7%). Lansia perempuan dengan status gizi obesitas memiliki peluang 2,45 kali merasakan gejala-gejala osteoartritis dibandingkan dengan lansia perempuan yang tidak obesitas. Namun, tidak ada hubungan antara obesitas dengan sindroma osteoartritis dengan nilai p>0,05 (p=0,072). Diperlukan informasi untuk program pengendalian berat badan sebelum terjadinya sindroma osteoartritis dalam rangka menekan osteoartritis untuk mencapai usia harapan hidup nasional.
English Abstract
Obesity is increase weight exceeds the limit physical needs and skeletal, as a result accumulation excessive body fat. Obesity in elderly to cause some chronic problem so that this condition causes joints weakness, restriction of mobility for the eldery. Obesity and eldery is one of risk factor for osteoarthritis. The purpose of this study is to know the relations beetween obesity and sindroma osteoarthritis in women elderly at Posyandu Lansia Dinoyo RW V Malang. The research design was observational analytic descriptive with cross sectional study. Samples were taken by non probability sampling with total sampling for all women elderly participant who came to Posyandu Lansia Dinoyo RV V, total respondent are 42 people. Data analysis is done as univariat bivariat with calculate prevalance ratio and Chi Square if the result is positif. The result showed that, women elderly with obesity (61,9%) and women elderly with sindroma osteoarthritis (35,7%). Women elderly with obesity have probability 2,45 to get sindroma osteoarthritis than women elderly not obesity. But, there is no relation between obesity and sindroma osteoarthritis with value p>0,05 (p=0,072). Information about keeping body weight it need before sindroma osteoarthritis in order to achieve the national life expectancy.
