Pengaruh Dekok Daun Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) terhadap pH Saliva secara In Vitro.

Wicaksono, DioHaryo (2014) Pengaruh Dekok Daun Mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia L.) terhadap pH Saliva secara In Vitro. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.

Abstract

English Abstract

Noni (Morinda citrifolia L.) is a plant that grows wild in the forests or coastal areas up to 1000 meters above sea level and often found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Pacific Islands, Australia, and East Africa. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of noni leaf decoction against salivary pH in vitro. Design research is an experimental laboratory with this type of research Posttest Only Control Group Design. Sample preparation saliva obtained from volunteers who are not in sick condition. Volume ratio of decoction obtained from noni leaf volume comparison with the volume of water used to make the decoction. The Saliva which had been measured the degree of its acidity were given the decoction by comparison with the volume of water that leaves varied. That is 1.2: 1, 1.3: 1, 1.4: 1, 1.5: 1, 1.6: 1, and 1.7: 1. The results showed of One-Way test results showed that there are differences in the degree of acidity or pH of saliva preparations differ between groups (p <0.05). Acidity of the saliva are influenced by the volume ratio of the volume of leaves and water in decoction used (Pearson correlation, 99.1%). There is significant value between the third treatment with a pH value of the critical and significant values ranging from first treatment (p> 0.05). The conclusion of this research was the noni leaf decoction affect salivary pH becomes more acidic start from the leaves and water ratio 1,2:1 and the leaves and water ratio of 1.4: 1 will cause the pH of saliva becomes critical.
