Abstract
Konsep promosi kesehatan bukan hanya proses penyadaran masyarakat dalam hal pemberian dan peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat dalam bidang kesehatan saja, melainkan juga upaya bagaimana mampu menjembatani adanya perubahan perilaku seseorang. Pemilihan metode dan penggunaan alat peraga yang sesuai dengan sasaran sangat membantu pencapaian usaha mengubah tingkah laku dan mempermudah proses penyampaian informasi pendidikan. Dalam penelitian ini alat bantu yang digunakan adalah cermin. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan dengan alat bantu cermin terhadap perubahan perilaku kebersihan mulut anak kelas 1 dan 2 SDN Kota Lama 4 Kedung Kandang. Penelitian ini merupakan studi quasy experimental group pra-post test design. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah total sampel, dibagi menjadi dua yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dalam merubah perilaku kebersihan mulut anak. Dari uji wilcoxon di dapatkan hasil pengetahuan kelompok responden dengan hasil sig. 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil buku kegiatan menyikat gigi antar kelompok didapatkan nilai sig. 0,002 (p < 0,05). Hasil gambar pada kelompok responden didapatkan nilai sig. 0,007 (p < 0,05). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh penyuluhan dengan alat bantu cermin terhadap perubahan perilaku kebersihan mulut anak kelas 1 dan 2 SDN Kota Lama 4 Kecamatan Kedung Kandang.
English Abstract
Health promotion concept, it is not only awareness process for people within providing and increasing people’s knowledge in health field, but it is also an effort how to change people behavior. The selection of method and use of appropriate props to help change behavior and facilitates the delivery of educational information. In this research used a mirror. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of oral health education with a mirror as a tool toward the change behavior of child oral hygiene for 1st and 2nd grade in SDN Kota Lama 4, Kedung Kandang. This research was pre-post test design from the study of the quasy experimental group. The sampling technique used in this research was total sample, in which this technique could be divided into two parts, they were respondent group and control group. The result of this research showed had the significant influence in behavior change of oral health. Based on wilcoxon test for result of pre post test, it could be found that respondent group get results sig. 0,000 (p < 0,05). Result of toothbrushing activities respondent group and control group, obtained sig 0,002 (p < 0,05). Based result of picture toward respondent group obtained sig. 0,007 (p < 0,05). From the research it could be concluded that there were the influences which emerged within dental health education with a mirror as tool toward behavior change of oral health toward 1st and 2nd grade in SDN Kota Lama 4, Kedung Kandang.
