Abstract
Kontraksi uterus, pembukaan serviks, dilatasi serviks dan effecement, dapat mempengaruhi nyeri persalinan sehingga aktivitas uterus yang tidak terkoordinasi akan mengakibatkan persalinan yang lama. Salah satu cara untuk menurunkan nyeri persalinan adalah metode non-farmakologis yaitu kompres dingin dan massage punggung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuktikan bahwa kompres dingin lebih efektif menurunkan nyeri persalinan dibandingkan dengan massage punggung pada ibu primipara kala 1 fase aktif. Studi eksperimental menggunakan pre-post test control group design dilakukan terhadap ibu bersalin normal kala 1 fase aktif. Sampel dipilih dengan cara purposive sampling untuk dibagi dalam 2 kelompok, yaitu kelompok kompres dingin (n=16) dan kelompok massage punggung (n=16). Variabel bebas pada penelitian ini adalah kompres dingin dan massage punggung, sedangkan untuk variabel terikat adalah wong beker pain rating score . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kompres dingin tidak signifikan menurunkan nyeri dibandingkan dengan massage punggung (Man Whitney U Teast, p – value > 0,005). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kompres dingin tidak lebih efektif menurunkan nyeri dibandingkan dengan massage punggung terhadap respon nyeri pada ibu primipara kala 1 fase aktif .
English Abstract
Uterine contractions, cervical dilation, cervical dilatation and effecement, can affect labor pain that uncoordinated uterine activity will result in a long labor. One way to reduce labor pain is a non - pharmacological method that cold compresses and back massage. This study aims to prove that a cold compress more effectively reduce labor pain compared with back massage first stage active phase primiparous mother. Experimental studies using a pre - post test control group design conducted on first stage active phase primiparous mother. Samples were selected by purposive sampling to be divided into 2 groups, namely the cold compress (n = 16) and a back massage group (n = 16). The independent variable in this study is a cold compress and back massage, while the dependent variable is wong beker pain rating scale. Results showed that a cold compress is insignificant compared to a back massage (Man Whitney U teast, p - value> 0.005). The conclusion of this study is a cold compress not more effectively reduce pain compared with back massage against the pain response in the first stage active phase primiparous mother
