Abstract
Tingginya risiko pria mengalami hipertensi sebesar 1,25 kali daripada perempuan yang seringkali dipicu oleh perilaku tidak sehat. Mengkonsumsi kopi dalam jumlah berlebihan dapat meningkatkan tekanan darah, tingkat stress dan memicu produksi hormon penyebab stress. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui hubungan antara konsumsi bahan makanan yang mengandung kafein dan tingkat stress dengan tekanan darah. Jenis penelitian observasional dengan studi korelasi melalui pendekatan cross sectional dan menggunakan teknik total sampling , sampel adalah mahasiswa teknik Universitas Jayabaya Jakarta . Hasil penelitian didapatkan 96,3% berusia 19-29 tahun, 37,5% konsumsi bahan makanan yang mengandung kafein ≥ 500 mg, 70% mengalami stress ringan, dan 8,8% mengalami hipertensi. Hasil dengan uji Pearson didapatkan ada hubungan yang signifikan antara konsumsi bahan makanan yang mengandung kafein dengan tekanan darah diastolik (p = 0,015 dan r = - 0,271) tetapi tidak dengan tekanan darah sistolik (p = 0,529). Artinya semakin tinggi asupan kafein per hari, makin turun status tekanan darah diastolik maupun sistolik. Hasil dengan uji Rank Spearman didapatkan tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stres dengan tekanan darah (p = 0,270). Kesimpulan ada hubungan yang negatif antara konsumsi bahan makanan yang mengandung kafein dengan tekanan darah diastolik tetapi tidak dengan tekanan darah sistolik serta tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat stress dengan tekanan darah pada mahasiswa teknik Universitas Jayabaya Jakarta.
English Abstract
Men have higher risks of hypertension of 1.25 times than women who are often triggered by unhealthy behaviors. Consuming excessive amounts of coffee can increase blood pressure, stress level and trigger the production of hormones causes stress. The purpose of the research to find out the association between the consumption of foodstuffs containing caffeine and stress levels with blood pressure. Types of observational research correlation study with cross sectional approach and through using the technique of total sampling, the samples are engineering students of Jayabaya University Jakarta. The research results obtained 96,3% are aged 20-29 years, 37.5% of the consumption of foodstuffs containing caffeine ≥ 500 mg, 70% experienced mild stress, and 8.8% experiencing hypertension. The results with Pearson test are obtained there is a significant association between the consumption of foodstuffs containing caffeine with diastolic blood pressure (p = 0,015 and r =-0,271) but not with systolic blood pressure (p = 0.830). That means the higher intake of caffeine per day, further down the status of systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The result with Spearman Rank test are obtained there is no significant association between stress levels and blood pressure (p = 0,270). Conclusion there is a negative association between the consumption of foodstuffs containing caffeine with diastolic blood pressure but not with systolic blood pressure and there was no significant association between stress levels and blood pressure in engineering students of Jayabaya University Jakarta.
