Abstract
Menarche adalah periode menstruasi pertama. Riwayat menstruasi dini akan mempengaruhi risiko terkena kanker payudara dan remaja yang mengalami menarche terlambat beresiko terkena osteoporosis. Kecukupan zat besi merupakan salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi terjadinya menarche normal pada remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan asupan zat besi dengan kejadian menarche pada remaja putri di Kabupaten Malang Propinsi Jawa Timur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan penelitian cross sectional. Lokasi penelitian di 4 (empat) Kecamatan di Kabupaten Malang (Pakisaji, Turen, Gondanglegi, Tajinan) dengan pemilihan responden menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Perhitungan jumlah responden tiap kecamatan menggunakan teknik proposional random sampling. Variabel yang diteliti adalah asupan zat besi dan kejadian menarche. Hasil penelitian (n = 99) menunjukkan asupan zat besi responden yang belum menarche sebesar 14,31±7,38 dan asupan zat besi pada responden yang udah menarche yaitu 14,28±7,38. Berdasarkan uji statistik Independent t-test menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan yang bermakna antara asupan zat besi dengan kejadian menarche pada remaja putri di Kabupaten Malang (p > 0,05). Saran penelitian perlu penyuluhan tentang makanan sumber protein hewani dan protein nabati , bahan makanan yang mempengaruhi penyerapan zat besi dan perlu penelitian lanjutan dalam pemeriksaan kadar Hb dan konsumsi zat inhibitor dan enhancer untuk melengkapi penelitian ini.
English Abstract
Menarche is the first of menstrual period. The adolescent girls who experience early menarche will affect risk exposed to breast cancer and adolescent girls who late menarche at risk exposed to osteoporosis. An adequate intake of iron is one of determinants of normal menarche in adolescent girls. This study aims to determine the association of the iron intake with the status of menarche in four district Malang. This study is observational analytic with cross-sectional approach. Location of study in four district in Malang (Pakisaji, Turen, Gondanglegi, Tajinan). The respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Proposional random sampling tecnique is used to calculate number of respondents for each district. The variables of the study are the iron intake and status of menarche. The result showed (n = 99) the consumption of iron respondents who had not menarche at 14,31±7,38 and who had menarche 14,28±7,38. Based on the obtained Independent t-test, the results is no significant association of iron intake with status of menarche in four district of Malang (p > 0,05). Suggested research needs counseling about food sources of animal protein and vegetable protein, foodstuffs that affect absorption of iron and need to further research in the examination of the levels of Hb and consumption substance inhibitor and enhancers to furnish this research.
