Abstract
Usia 3-5 tahun merupakan usia dimana pertumbuhan sel jaringan otak mencapai 50% terutama perkembangan kognitif saat anak berusia 4 tahun. Perkembangan kognitif akan maksimal jika ditunjang oleh pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku ibu dalam memberikan metode stimulasi perkembangan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil dan hubungan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku ibu dalam stimulasi perkembangan yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan kognitif anak prasekolah usia 3-5 tahun di KB-TK Selaras Cita Malang tahun 2013. Jenis penelitian deskriptif eksploratif dengan cross sectional study terhadap masing-masing 64 ibu dan anak usia 3-5 tahun di KB-TK Selaras Cita Sawojajar Malang. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik purporsive quota sampling. Variabel yang diukur adalah pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku ibu dan perkembangan kognitif anak. Uji statistik menggunakan korelasi Spearman dengan taraf kepercayaan 90%. Hasil analisa bivariat menunjukkan adanya hubungan bermakna antara pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku ibu tentang metode stimulasi perkembangan dengan perkembangan kognitif anak usia 5 tahun, dengan kekuatan korelasi masing-masing sebesar 0,464, 0,381 dan 0,549. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah semakin baik pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku ibu semakin baik pula perkembangan kognitif anak. Sehingga diperlukan trobosan kegiatan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak secara optimal dengan meningkatkan keterlibatan ibu dalam pendidikan formal dan informal yang lebih konseptual, sistematis dan terukur.
English Abstract
3-5 years of age is the age at which brain tissue cell growth reached 50 % especially when the cognitive development of children aged 4 years. Cognitive development will be maximized if supported by the mothers knowledge, attitudes and behavior in providing developmental stimulation methods. The purpose of this study was to determine the profile and relationship of knowledge, attitude and behavior mother in the stimulation of the development associated with the cognitive development of preschool children aged 3-5 years in the KB-TK Selaras Cita Malang in 2013. Type a descriptive exploratory study with a cross-sectional study on each of the 64 mothers and children aged 3-5 years in the KB-TK Selaras Cita Sawojajar Malang. The sample was selected using a quota sampling technique purposive. The measured variable is the knowledge, attitudes, and behavior mother and child cognitive development. Statistical test using the Spearman correlation with 90 % confidence level. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and behavior of mothers on the development of methods of stimulation with cognitive development of children aged 5 years, with the strength of correlation respectively 0.464, 0.381 and 0.549. The conclusion of this study is the better knowledge, attitude, and behavior the better the mothers cognitive development of children. So that the necessary breakthrough activities to improve childrens cognitive development by improving optimal maternal involvement in formal and informal education are more conceptual, systematic and measurable.
