Abstract
ASI eksklusif merupakan makanan yang bergizi yang sangat ideal untuk bayi dan anak dibawah usia 2 tahun. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya komprehensif untuk meningkatkan pemberian ASI eksklusif.. Observasi yang dilakukan pada beberapa orang ibu di wilayah Puskesmas Waiwadan, peneliti menemukan bahwa hanya 1 dari 9 orang ibu yang memberikan ASI eksklusif kepada bayinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi praktek pemberian ASI Eksklusif di wilayah Puskesmas Waiwadan, Kecamatan Adonara Barat – Nusa Tenggara Timur. Desain penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Teknik penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling dan juga menggunakan Snowball sampling. Cara mencari informan pertama adalah dengan aksidental berdasarkan catatan dari puskesmas. Jumlah informan diketahui setelah penelitian selesai yaitu berjumlah 6 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua informan gagal memberikan ASI Eksklusif. Faktor–faktor yang mempengaruhi praktek pemberian ASI Eksklusif antara lain faktor internal yaitu motivasi, pengetahuan tentang ASI eksklusif, pekerjaan, dan kondisi kesehatan ibu serta faktor eksternal seperti kondisi kesehatan bayi, promosi susu formula, sosial budaya, Dukungan tenaga kesehatan dan keluarga. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah faktor internal dan eksternal sangat pempengaruhi keberhasilan praktek pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi.. Untuk Itu, disarankan, perlu penelitian lebih lanjut tentang pemberian Pre lakteal dan MP ASI dini serta dampaknya bagi kesehatan bayi
English Abstract
Exclusive breastfeeding is a very nutritious food ideal for babies and children under the age of 2 years. Because of that, it need comprehensive efforts to improve the giving exclusive breastfeeding. Observations in some mothers in the health centers Waiwadan, researchers found that only 1 of the 9 mothers who exclusively breastfed their babies. The research aimed at knowing the factors that influence the giving of exclusive breast feeding at the Waiwadan primary health care, West Adonara sub district – East Nusa Tenggara. The research design is qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The informant determination by purposive sampling and also Snowball sampling. The first informant finding by accidental. The informants amount were known after the research finished, 6 persons. The research showed that all informant fail to give exclusive breastfeeding.The influencing factors were internal factor, that was mother motivation, knowledge about exclusive breastfeeding, job, and mother health condition and external factors such as baby health, promotion of formula milk, and social and cultural. The support of health staff and families. The conclusion of the research was the internal and external factors influence significantly the practice of breastfeeding giving to babies.
