Abstract
Pemanfaatandaunubijalarungudi Indonesia masihkurangmaksimal.Padahal, tepungdaunubijalarungumempunyaikadarpolifenol yang tergolongtinggi. Konsumsipolifenolseringdihubungkandenganpenurunanresikopenyakitkronis yang diakibatkanadanyainflamasi.Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuipengaruhpemberiantepungdaunubijalarunguterhadapkadar interleukin-6 (IL-6) serum tikusputih yang dipaparasaprokok. Penelitianinimerupakanstudieksperimentaldengandesainrancanganacaklengkappadahewancobatikusputihjeniswistarjantan (6-8 minggu, 140-250g BB) yang terdiridari 5 kelompokpenelitianyaituK- (tikus yang diberi diet normal saja),K+ (tikus yang diberi diet normal danpaparanasaprokoksebanyak 1 batangselama 5 menitdalam 30 hari), P1, P2 dan P3 (tikus yang diberi diet normal, paparanasaprokokdantepungdaunubijalarungu 0,07g, 0.14g dan 0.28g). Pengujiankadar IL-6 serum dilakukandenganmetode ELISA. HasilujistatistikKruskallwalismenunjukanadanyapengaruhpemberiantepungdaunubijalarunguterhadapkadar IL-6 serum tikusputih yang dipaparasaprokok (p=0,015, Sig<0,05). UjistatistiklanjutmenggunakanPost Hoc TestyaituMann Whitneymenyatakanbahwaadanyaperbedaan yang signifikanantaraK(-) dan K(+) dengannilai p=0.009; K(-) dan P2 dengannilai p=0,036; K(-) dan P3 dengannilai p=0,009; K(+) dan P2 dengannilai p=0,036; P1 dan P2 dengan p=0,602; P1 dan P3 dengannilai p=0,347. Hal inidapatdikatakanbahwapemberiantepungdaunubijalarungudapatmenurunkankadar IL-6 serum tikusputih yang dipaparasaprokokpadadosistertentu.
English Abstract
Consumption and usage of purple sweet potato leaves powder in Indonesia still not a lot. Whereas, purple sweet potatoes leaves have relatively high levels of polyphenols. Consumption of polyphenols is often associated with decreased risk of chronic disease caused by inflammation. This study aimed to determine the effect of purple sweet potato leaves powder on levels of interleukin-6 (IL-6) serum of white rats exposed to cigarette smoke. This research is an experimental study with completely randomized design on animal species Wistar male rats (6-8 weeks, 140-250g BB) consisting of 5 studies, they are K- (rat that give normal diet only),K+ (rat that give normal diet and cigarette smoke exposure for 5 minutes in 30 days), P1, P2 and P3 (rat that give normal diet, exposure to cigarette smoke and purple sweet potato leaf powder 0.07g, 0.14g and 0.28g).The IL-6 levels tested by ELISA.Statistical test results using Kruskall Wallis showed effect of purple sweet potato leaf powder on serum levels of IL-6 mice were exposed to cigarette smoke (p=0.015, Sig<0,05). Further statistical tests using post hoc Mann Whitney claim that there are significant differences between K(-) and K(+) with p=0.009; K(-) and P2 with p=0.036; K(-) and P3 with p=0.009; K(+) and P2 with p=0.036; P1 and P2 with p=0.602; P1 and P3 with p=0.347.
