Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan minimnya sarana buku pada pembelajaran menyusun teks ulasan di SMP N 1 Lamongan. Peserta didik hanya berpedoman pada satu buku yaitu berasal dari pemerintah. Hal ini dikarenakan terlalu banyak beredar buku yang tidak sesuai dengan karakter peserta didik oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak bertanggungjawab. Oleh karena itu, peserta didik merasa bosan dengan buku yang berasal dari pemerintah baik dari segi isi, tampilan, dan penyajian. Dari peristiwa itulah banyak peserta didik yang akhirnya berbuat curang dalam mencari informasi dan menyelesaikan penugasan yang ada di buku. Oleh karena itu dalam penelitian ini terdapat ide untuk membuat sebuah buku yang berbeda dari buku lainnya. Buku tersebut berjudul “Penanaman Nilai-nilai Pendidikan Karakter dalam Kegiatan Menyusun Teks Ulasan”. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu ingin menerapkan pengembangan buku pengayaan keterampilan menyusun teks ulasan bermuatan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada siswa kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini menggunakan model penelitian Borg & Gall yang memiliki sepuluh tahapan diantaranya penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi hingga penyebar luasan produk final. Uji coba dilakukan tiga kali mulai dari produk 1 hingga produk 3. Uji coba tersebut tidak terlepas dari validasi agar produk dapat dikatakan layak hingga diimplementasikan. Teknik pengumpulan data antara lain dengan observasi dan angket. Adapun hasil penelitian pada uji coba produk 1 yaitu 86,42 %, selanjutnya di perbaiki dan tercipta produk 2. Pada uji coba produk 2 hasil yang diperoleh adalah 82,85 %, selanjutnya di perbaiki lagi dan tercipta produk 3. Hasil uji coba pada produk 3 adalah 89,76 %. Dari persentase produk akhir yaitu 89,76 %, maka produk dinyatakan layak dan siap untuk diimplementasikan.
English Abstract
The background of the study is about the lack of means books on study of composing text reviews in the 1 Junior High School, Lamongan. Learners only guided on one book that comes from the government. It because too many circulating books that does not match with the character of learners by the parties who are not responsible. Therefore, learners feel bored with books that came from the governmet both in terms of content, appearance, and prsentation. From the event, many learners who end up cheating in seeking information and complete the assignment in the book. Thus, in this study there is an idea to make a book that is different from the other books. The book entitled “The Cultivation of Character Education Values in composing the Review Text Activities”. The purpose of this study is to apply the Development of Skill Enrichment Composing the Text Reviews Textbook containing Character Education Values in students of grade VIII junior high school. This research and development uses Borg & Gall’s research model that has ten stages include research and information gathering until the final product deployment. The test was conducted three times starting from product 1 to product 3. The test is inseparable from the validation so that the product can be said deserve to be implemented. The technique of data collection used observation and questionnaires. The result of this research on product 1 test were 86,42 %, then repaired and created product 2. On product 2, the result obtained were 82,85 %, then repaired again and created product 3. The result of product 3 were 89,76 %. The percentages of final product were 89, 76 %, and then the product is stated worthy products and ready to be implemented.
