Abstract
Alun-alun kota Malang merupakan area vital di pusat kota Malang yang berfungsi sebagai pusat interaksi masyarakat. Ruang terbuka publik ini sekarang dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai lapisan masyarakat, hanya saja terdapat aktivitas yang tidak sesuai fungsi ruangnya serta tidak merata di seluruh zonanya. Evaluasi purna huni (EPH) ruang terbuka publik bertujuan untuk melihat permasalahan apa yang menyebabkan ketidaksesuaian antara aktivitas dengan fungsi ruangnya ditinjau dari aspek fungsional ruang dan teknis ruang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode evaluatif dipadukan dengan teknik Place-centered Mapping, Person-centered Mapping serta Investigatif untuk pengumpulan datanya. Waktu penelitian dilakukan pada hari kerja, hari ibadah, hari libur dan hari libur dengan event tertentu serta dibagi pada pagi hari, siang hari, sore hari dan malam hari. Data tiap aspek dianalisa keterhubungan antara fungsional dan teknisnya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ketidak sesuaian antara aktivitas dengan fungsi ruangnya dikarenakan beberapa hal, diantaranya adalah terdapat aktivitas dalam aspek fungsional yang mengganggu aktivitas lain, fasilitas dan dimensi setting fisik ruang dalam faktor manusia yang kurang mendukung pola aktivitas pemanfaatan ruang tertentu, serta terdapatnya teknis setting fisik yang tidak memenuhi standar.
English Abstract
Malang city square is a vital area in downtown Malang that serves as a center of community interaction. This public open space is now used by various layers of society, it's just there are activities that do not fit the function of space and uneven in all the zones. The Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) of public open space aims to see what problems cause a mismatch between activity and spatial function in terms of functional aspects and technical aspects. This study uses evaluative methods combined with Place-centered Mapping, Person-centered Mapping and Investigative techniques for data collection. The research time is done on weekdays, religious days, holidays and holidays with certain events and divided in the morning, mid-day, afternoon and evening time. Data of each aspect analyzed the interrelationship between functional and technical. The results show that the mismatch between the activity and the function of the space is due to several things, among them is the activity in the functional aspect that interfere with other activities, the facilities and the dimensions of the physical setting of space in the human factors that are less support the pattern of certain space utilization activities, And the technical presence of physical settings that do not meet the standards.
