Abstract

Tiara Handicraft is one of the Small Medium Enterprise in Surabaya that produce a lot of creative products which use fabric as primary material. Started from hobby to make special gift, now tiara handicraft grow into small medium enterprise with high amount of demand. The variety of product is much, started from gift, household equipment such as pillow, table case, curtain, wedding souvenir, clothes and bags. Tiara Handicraft not just serve domestic customer but also foreign customer such as from USA, Japan, Iceland, Netherland and Brazil. The most interesting thing is among 38 people work in tiara handicraft, 90% of them has disability. With so many kind of product and salary calculation method use productivity based there comes high complexity that become trouble to company. The purpose of this research is to understand the company salary system and analize what is the weakness of the existed system. Analyzing the source of problem is also important since system already running from long time ago and must be adjust with present condition. This study also explain about how to find the system weakness and propose solution of system weakness and trouble. The research method use is descriptive research with case study approach. Descriptive research is important to understand system weaknesses and solution to solve the problem. Descriptive research method also give a lot of advantage in describe existed system and analyze the company condition and preparation to received new system to solve problem. Analysis data will involve analyzing existed system characteristic and problem. The result of this research is new system design to solve the existed system problem. The process of making new system is designing the logic and physic of the system. Afterward designing database and coding. Final process of system design is examine the system. Examining process is important to check whether system can be run well as it design from beginning or still have bugs to fix.
