Abstract
Masalah kesehatan gigi dan mulut sampai saat ini masih menjadi masalah klasik di Indonesia. Hal tersebut ditandai dengan angka pravelensi karies dan penyakit periodontal yang masih tetap tinggi setiap tahunnya. Jika diamati menurut prosesnya, masalah dalam sistem pelayanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut secara medis dan teknis dapat dipandang sebagai komunikasi efektif antara dokter gigi dengan pasien dalam serangkaian perawatan yang diberikan. Dari pandangan ini salah satu penyebab pelayanan kesehatan gigi dan mulut yang tidak optimal adalah proses komunikasi antara dokter gigi dengan pasien yang kurang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan informasi yang disampaikan oleh dokter gigi dengan yang diterima oleh pasien perawatan gigi. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan deskriptif analitik dengan pengambilan data secara kuantitatif menggunakan metode wawancara dengan panduan kuesioner. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh pasien poli gigi RSI Asyiyah Malang dan RS Universitas Brawijaya. Metode statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon dengan α = 0.05. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan pada 33 responden pasien poli gigi tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara informasi kondisi umum pasien, sedangkan pada informasi Dental Health Education tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan
English Abstract
Dental and oral health problems are still be a classic problem in Indonesia. It is maintained by a high pravelency of caries and periodontal disease every year. If we observed according to the process, problems in the dental and oral health processes are as effective communication between the dentist and the patient in the given treatment or examination. From this case, the the reason of oral health services that can’t be optimal is caused by communication process between the dentist and patient are less effective. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences of information submitted by the dentist with information that received by their dental care patients. The type of this research is descriptive analytics with quantitative data collection using questionnaire method. The population of this study were all patients of RSI Asyiyah Malang and Universitas Brawijaya Hospital. Statistical method used is Wilcoxon test with α = 0.05. Based on the results of interviews that conducted on 33 patient respondents showed a significant differences on the general patient condition information, whereas in the information Dental Health Education there are no significant differences
