Abstract
Karbamid peroksida merupakan salah satu bahan bleaching. Bleaching tidak hanya mempengaruhi perubahan warna pada gigi tetapi juga menimbulkan dampak negatif pada tumpatan resin komposit. Karbamid peroksida diketahui dapat meningkatkan kebocoran mikro pada tumpatan resin komposit karena adanya residu peroksida yang dapat memutuskan beberapa ikatan pada resin komposit. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan kebocoran mikro tumpatan resin komposit nanohybrid dan nanofiller pada bahan bleaching karbamid peroksida 10%. Penelitian in merupakan penelitian eksperimental laboratoris dengan rancangan post test only design. Sampel sebanyak 22 gigi insisivus dan kaninus yang telah diekstraksi kemudian dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kelompok A ditumpat dengan resin komposit nanohybrid. Kelompok B ditumpat dengan resin komposit nanofiller. Kedua kelompok diaplikasikan karbamid peroksida 10% (Opalescense PF 10%, Ultradent) 8 jam perhari selama 7 hari. Kebocoran mikro diukur dengan mengamati penetrasi methylene blue. Data dianalisa menggunakan independent t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kebocoran mikro yang signifikan antara kelompok A dan kelompok B. Kesimpulan, kebocoran mikro tumpatan resin komposit nanofiller lebih besar dibandingkan dengan resin komposit nanohybrid.
English Abstract
Carbamide peroxide is one of bleaching materials. Bleaching not only affect the discoloration teeth but also have negative impacts in composite resin restoration. Carbamide peroxide is known can increase microleakage in composite resin restoration because of residue peroxide that can break some chains in composite resin. The aim of this study was to determine the differences of microleakage between nanohybrid composite resin and nanofiller composite resin in 10% carbamide peroxide bleaching materials. This study was a laboratory experimental research with post test only design. The samples of this research were 22 extracted maxillary incisives and canines then divided into two groups. Group A was filled with nanohybrid composite resin. Group B was filled with nanofiller composite resin. Both of groups were bleached with carbamide peroxide 10% (Opalescense PF 10%, Ultradent) 8 hours each day for 7 days. Methylene blue penetration was used for evaluation of microleakage. Data were analyzed with independent t-test. The result showed a significant difference in microleakage beetween group A and group B. In conclusion, microleakage of nanofiller composite resin was greater than nanohybrid composite resin.
