Abstract
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tanggal 10 Agustus sampai 20 September di Kawasan Lowokwaru Kota Malang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui motivasi, strategi, perilaku dan solidaritas perantau. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengambilan data bersifat purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi perantau untuk melakukan mobilitas adalah kondisi daerah asal, faktor ekonomi dan informasi dari perantau terdahulu. Strategi beradaptasi yang lakukan perantau memanfaatkan perantau terdahulu sebagai tempat tinggal sementara dan untuk memperoleh pekerjaan disektor informal. Kemudian strategi berjualan dapat diketahui berupa pemilihan waktu berjualan, tempat yang strategis dan menghormati pembeli. Selanjutnya, perilaku perantau dapat diketahui sebagai pekerja keras, tidak mudah menyerah, mempunyai semangat tinggi, bahan baku yang digunakan daging segar untuk menjaga kualitas sate, menentukan harga jual dan menabung untuk masa depan terutama pergi berhaji. Kemudian solidaritas perantau dapat diketahui adanya aktivitas pada hari jumat legi diadakan kegiatan doa bersama. Hal ini dilakukan untuk memperat tali persaudaraan di daerah tujuan serta yang tidak kalah penting saling membantu baik materil dan non materil. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini perantau asal Madura melakukan mobilitas karena dorongan yang sangat kuat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Pekerja keras, tidak mudah menyerah, mempunyai semangat tinggi, dan rajin menabung merupakan ciri dari perantau asal Madura. Solidaritas dibangun karena adanya rasa senasib, sadar dari kelas yang sama dan budaya yang dibawa dari daerah asal.
English Abstract
This research was conducted from 10 August to 20 September 2017 in Lowokwaru Malang city. The purpose of this research was to identify motivation, strategy, behavior and solidarity of the nomads. The method used was qualitative descriptive, data retrieval technique with semi-participation, indept interview, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate the motivation of nomads to perform mobility was the condition of the origin, economic factors and information from the earlier nomads. Adaptable strategies used by former expatriate monitors for temporary shelter and for informal sector work. Then sales strategy can be known when the time to sell, a strategic place and appropriate buyers. Furthermore, the behavior of the nomads can be known as hard workers, not easily give up, have high spirits, create a delicious taste of sate, determine the selling price and save for the future of the to go hajj to baitullah. Then the solidarity of nomads can be seen the activity on Jumat held a joint prayer. This was done to tighten the brotherhood in the destination and no less important to help each other both material and non materil. From the results of this study, nomads from Madura perform mobility because of a very strong drive to meet family needs. Hard worker, not easily give up, there is high spirits. Solidarity was built because of the sense of destiny, conscious of the same class and culture carried from the region of origin.
