Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Ikan Gabus (Channa Striata) Terhadap Kadar Adiponektin Pada Tikus Putih (Rattus Novergicus Strain Wistar) Model Diabetes Melitus

Abstract

Adiponektin adalah suatu hormon yang memiliki peranan dalam menurunkan kadar gula darah melalui peningkatan sensifitas insulin dan mempengaruhi metabolism tubuh termasuk oksidasi asam lemak dan penggunaan glukosa oleh jaringan tubuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan bahwa Ekstrak Ikan Gabus (Channa striata) yang kaya akan albumin dan asam amino dapat meningkatkan kadar adiponektin pada model diabetes mellitus. Studi eksperimental menggunakan Post Test Only with Control Group Design dilakukan terhadap hewan coba tikus Wistar jantan. Sampel dipilih secara random sampling untuk dibagi ke dalam 2 bagian yang masing-masing bagian terdiri dari 5 kelompok yaitu kelompok normal atau kelompok K-, kelompok Diabetes atau kelompok K+, Perlakuan1 (DM+ekstrak 3ml/kgBB), Perlakuan2 (DM+ekstrak 6ml/kgBB), Perlakuan3 (DM+ekstrak 9ml/kgBB). Bagian pertama diberi ekstrak selama 4 hari dan bagian kedua diberi ekstrak selama 8 hari. Variabel yang diukur adalah kadar adiponektin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan kadar adiponektin setelah pemberian ekstrak antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok perlakuan tidak berbeda bermakna baik untuk kelompok pada bagian pertama (kruskal wallis, p>0,5) dan kelompok pada bagian kedua (kruskal wallis, p>0,5) .kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah ekstrak ikan gabus tidak dapat meningkatkan kadar adiponektin pada hewan coba diabetes mellitus. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, disarankan agar pemberian ekstrak ikan gabus diberikan dalan jangka panjang (>8 hari) sehingga dapat melihat tren kadar adiponektin dan faktor lain yang mempengaruhinya.

English Abstract

Adiponectin is a hormone that has a role in lowering blood glucose through increasing insulin sensitivity and affects the metabolism of the body including the oxidation of fatty acids and glucose uptake by the body tissue. This study aims to prove that the extract Channa striata, which is rich in albumin and amino acids can increase adiponectin levels in diabetes mellitus. Experimental studies using Post Test Only with Control Group Design conducted on male Wistar rats. Samples selected by random sampling to be divided into 2 section, each section consisting of five groups: normal or group K-, group Diabetes or group K +, treatment group 1 (Diabetes + extract 3ml/kg), treatment group 2 (Diabetes + extract 6ml/kg), treatment group 3 (Diabetes + extract 9ml/kg). The first section was given the extract for 4 days and the second section given the extract for 8 days. The variables measured were adiponectin levels. The results showed that the increase in adiponectin levels after administration of the extract between the control group and the treatment group was not significantly different either for the group in the first section (Kruskal Wallis test, p> 0.5) and in the second section (Kruskal Wallis test, p> 0.5). The conclusion of this research is extract Channa striata can not increase adiponectin levels in experimental animals with diabetes mellitus. Based on these results, it is recommended that the administration of extracts given in the long term (> 8 days) to see trends of adiponectin levels and other factors that may influence it.
