Abstract
Media sosial yang semakin berkembang menunjukkan adanya ketertarikan bagi para pengguna untuk menggunakannya. Twitter merupakan salah satu cara remaja perempuan melakukan self disclosure (pengungkapan diri). Melalui media sosial Twitter, remaja perempuan dapat secara bebas melakukan pengungkapan dengan cara memposting, menuliskan isi hati dan emosinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana self disclosure (pengungkapan diri) remaja perempuan melalui media sosial Twitter. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode yang telah digunakan yaitu studi deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Informan pada penelitian ini adalah enam orang yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik sampling purposif yang mencakup orang-orang yang diseleksi atas dasar kriteria-kriteria tertentu. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial Twitter pada remaja perempuan berumur 15-18 tahun lebih nyaman dan bisa terbuka untuk melakukan self disclosure. Dalam kesehariannya, remaja perempuan mengunggah aktivitasnya lebih dari lima kali posting. Hasil penelitian yaitu self disclosure melalui media sosial Twitter dijadikan sebagai sarana untuk mendapatkan informasi baru, meluapkan emosi, galau, curhat, stalking dan sindir-menyindir. Self disclosure yang dilakukan bertujuan agar keinginannya dapat tercapai.
English Abstract
Social media which keeps growing showed the presence of interest for users to use it. Twitter is one way teenagers women do self disclosure. Through social media Twitter, teenagers women can freely do the disclosure of by means of to posting, wrote is in the heart and emotionally. This study aims to find how self disclosure teenagers women through social media Twitter. This study adopted qualitative approaches and methods that have been used to study descriptive. The collection of data using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Informants in the study are six people selected by sampling technique purposif peoples who selected on the basis of certain criterias. In the research indicated that the use of social media Twitter to teenagers 15-18 year old girl, individuals and open to conduct self disclosure. The result of this study are teenagers women ages 15-18 years, they more comfortable and more open to show themselves. In her routine, teenagers women can posting their activity more than 5 times posts. Self disclosure through social media Twitter used as a means to get new information, excite emotion, wavering, confide, stalking and satrical. The self disclosure was done is aims to her desire can be achieved.
