Abstract
Disiplin kerja mempunyai peranan yang sangat penting dalam suatu istansi khususnya dalam ruang lingkup instansi pemeritahan karena penegakan disiplin kerja merupakan tolak ukur penilaian dari pegawai dalam menjalankan setiap tugasnya. Dalam menjalankan setiap tugasnya para pegawai pemerintahan dituntut agar selalu memberikan pelayanan sebaik-baiknya kepada masyarakat, agar tercapainya suatu pemerinahan yang baik. Pegawai Negeri Sipil (PNS) merupakan pegawai yang memenuhi syarat tertentu yang berlaku dalam peraturan perundangan, diangkat dan diserihi tugas negara oleh pejabat yang berwenang serta digaji menurutperaturan perundangan. Dalam menjalankan tugasnya PNS diikat oleh peraturan perundangan untuk mengatur PNS agar tidak menyalahgunakan wewenangnya. Badan Kepegawaian Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Daerah Kota Kediri sebaga salah satu lembaga pemerintahan yang bertanggung jawab pada Walikota terkait bidang kepegawaian memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam melaksanakan menejemen PNS di tingkat daerah, terlebih dalam perumusan kebijakan teknis, pengembangan, kesejahteraan serta penegakan disiplin kerja terhadap setiap pegawai negeri sipil. Penegakan disiplin khususnya di Kota Kediri harus lebih di perhatikan karena pentingnya suatu kedisiplinan untuk menjadikan PNS lebih baik dalam memberikan pelayanan kepada msyarakat khususnya di wilayah Kota Kediri yang notabene saat ini menjadi kota yang berkembang menuju kota besar harus di berikan pengawasan yang lebih terhadap para PNS supaya pelayanan terhadap masyarakat terjaga dengan baik.
English Abstract
Discipline of work has a very significant role in an institution, especially in the governmental institution, because the enforcement of disciplinary working is a benchmark assessment of employees for carrying out each task. In carrying out every duty, the government employees are required to always provide the best services to the society, in order to achieve a good government. Civil Servants (hereinafter abbreviated as PNS) are employees who meet certain requirements in accordance with the legislation, was appointed and assigned on state duties by the authorized officer and are paid based on the legislation. In carrying out its duty, civil servants are bound by the legislation to regulate civil servants for not toabuse their authority. The Local Department of Employment Education and Training of Kediri City as one of the government agencies that responsibles to the Mayor in the field of employees has a very significant role for implementing civil servant management at the local level, especially in the formulation of technical policy, development, welfare and enforcement of disciplinary working for each civil servant. The enforcement of discipline, especially in Kediri City should get more attention because of the urgency of discipline to make civil servants much better for providing services to society, especially in Kediri City that up till now, Kediri City is still a developing city towards a developed city which should be given extra supervision to civil servants, in order to keep the service to the society work well.
