Abstract
Zoonosis merupakan infeksi parasit yang diderita oleh hewan dan dapat ditularkan ke manusia melalui kontak langsung maupun tidak langsung. Salah satu hewan yang dapat terjangkit zoonosis adalah sapi perah. Parasit zoonosis yang dapat menginfeksi sapi perah adalah Cryptosporidium sp dan Blastocystis hominis. Jumlah dan jenis protozoa usus penyebab diare yang ditemukan dalam feses sapi perah dapat menjadi indikator seberapa parah infeksi yang terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara tingkat sanitasi lingkungan dengan jumlah dan jenis protozoa usus penyebab diare yang ditemukan pada feses sapi perah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan wawancara melalui kuesioner kepada peternak, pengamatan objektif dari sanitasi lingkungan ternak dan pengambilan sampel feses sapi perahnya. Sampel diambil dengan metode random sampling terhadap 50 peternak sapi perah di desa Beji. Sampel feses sapi perah diambil setelah pengambilan data kuesioner dan pengamatan objektif, diteliti menggunakan metode pulasan tahan asam dan dilihat dengan menggunakan bantuan mikroskop untuk melihat jumlah dan jenis protozoa usus penyebab diare yang ada di dalamnya. Dari uji analisis data didapatkan ada hubungan yang signifikan (p<0.05), negatif dan sangat kuat antara kedua variabel yaitu jumlah dan jenis dari protozoa usus penyebab diare. Hubungan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat sanitasi lingkungan penternak sapi perah maka jumlah protozoa usus penyebab diare juga semakin rendah, begitu juga sebaliknya semakin rendah tingkat sanitasi lingkungan penternak sapi perah maka jumlah protozoa usus penyebab diare semakin tinggi.
English Abstract
Zoonosis is a parasitic infection that affects animals and can be transmitted to humans through direct or indirect contact. One of the animals that can be infected with zoonos is a dairy cow. Zoonotic parasites that can infect dairy cows are Cryptosporidium sp and Blastocystis hominis. The number and type of intestinal protozoa of diarrhea found in dairy cow feces can be an indicator of how severe the infection is. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of environmental sanitation with the number and type of intestinal protozoa that causes diarrhea found in dairy cow feces. This research was conducted through interviews through questionnaires to farmers, objective observation of environmental sanitation of livestock and sampling of dairy cow feces. The sample was taken by random sampling method to 50 dairy farmers in Beji village. Dairy cow stool samples were collected after collecting questionnaires and objective observations, researched using acid-resistant methods and viewed using microscope aid to see the number and type of intestinal protozoa that cause diarrhea in it. From the data analysis test found significant relationship (p <0.05), negative and very strong between the two variables, the number and type of intestinal protozoa that causes diarrhea. The relationship indicates that the higher the sanitation level of dairy farmers, the lower the number of protozoa of diarrhea, and the lower the level of sanitation of the dairy farmers, the higher the number of protozoa of diarrhea.
