Putra, I Putu Gede Ardana (2018) Kekuatan Lelah Sambungan Las Gesek Dissimilar Metal Aluminium A6061 Dan Baja Karbon S50C Dengan Dan Tanpa Geometri Kerucut Baja Satu Sisi. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
One of the most technology in manufacturing world that keeps improvised is welding. Welding itself has many type, one of them is friction welding. Friction welding is a solid-state welding method used two metals that have similar or dissimilar type with help of upsetting force and form a weld joint. The results from friction welding can be applied in engineering field such as suction valve. The purpose of this research is to know the strength of fatigue weld joint of dissimilar metal aluminum A6061 and S50C carbon steel with and without steel single cone geometry. The independent variables in this research are the steel cone geometry 0 mm, and 2 mm. Controlled variables are 1600 rpm spindle speed, 7 kN friction force, upset force 35kN, 3 mm of burn off length, 10 seconds holding time. The result of fatigue strength test at 150.000 cycles speciment of geometry without steel cone has a fatigue strength at 31.7 MPa, whereas on cone 2 mm variation has fatigue strength of 23.2 MPa. Giving a steel cone geometry affects the fatigue strength of the A6061 and S50C aluminum friction weld joint.
