Pradana, Agung Wirawan (2017) Analisis Metode Stepwise Dan Kriging Untuk Evaluasi Sebaran Pos Hujan Di Das Brantas Hulu. Magister thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
The fundamental requirement in water structure design can not be separated from the availability of adequate quality and quantity hydrological data. To obtain the data, rain gauge network is needed to monitor the hydrological characteristic of a watershed. Brantas Hulu watershed is one of the watersheds that has important influence on quality and quantity of water availability in some regions of East Java. It has a total surface area of 674 km2. To evaluate and design the existing network density of rain gauge stations, Stepwise and Kriging methods are used. Correlation assessment criteria of the Stepwise method, if r value close to 1 then the relationship between those variables will be more significant. The optimization location of recommended rain gauge stations in Kriging method can be seen from the RMSE and MAE value, and also qualified WMO standard. The evaluation result of Stepwise method (based on ministry of public works Indonesia) obtained 7 most dominant rain gauge stations. With the correlation coefficient results of 0.850 which means the degree of relationship is very strong. While Stepwise method (based on statistical method) obtained recommendation 2 dominant rain gauge stations. With the correlation coefficient results of 0.847 which means the degree of relationship is very strong. And the relationship between rain gauge stations and water level gauging station will be more significant. The analysis of Kriging method in this study used two recommendations with different amount of rain gauge stations in each recommendation. Both of those recommendations are included in ideal conditions. From the calculation of Kriging method, the RMSE and MAE value of recommended rain station II is smaller compared to the existing rain gauge stations. Thus the recommended rain gauge stations II from results of Kriging method can be applied in Brantas Hulu watershed. The analysis results of rain gauge stations distribution from Stepwise and Kriging method according to the WMO density standard, Kriging method is more recommended because it has qualified the WMO density standard. In Kriging method, the placement of rain gauge stations is more evenly distributed than Stepwise method.
