Abstract
Shopping center dewasa ini merupakan gaya hidup masyarakat, terutama masyrakat perkotaan. Penawaran kenyamanan dan penggabungan aktivitas membuat shopping center lebih diminati oleh masyarakat. Dalam ruang publik seperti shopping center dibutuhkan konfigurasi ruang yang efektif dan efisien agar pengguna ruang dapat memahami ruang dengan baik. Pola jaringan menjadi salah satu komponen penting yang dapat mempengaruhi aspek kualitas ruang yang dalam hal ini berupa permeabilitas dan aksesibilitas (Carmona et al: 2003), sehingga ruang yang efektif dan efisien dapat dicapai dengan adanya aksesibilitas yang baik dalam konfigurasi ruangnya, yaitu organisasi ruang dan sirkulasi yang baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui karakteristik konfigurasi ruang yang baik pada shopping center, terutama pada ruang gerak pengunjungnya yang berupa ruang sirkulasi. Karena ruang gerak pengunjung yang efiesien dan efektif menandakan pengunjung dapat mengerti ruang dengan baik untuk bisa menggapai seluruh retail dalam shopping center. Efisiensi dan efektifitas ruang sirkulasi disini ditinjau melalui aksesibilitas yang baik pada konfigurasi ruang sirkulasinya yang dicapai melalui analisis space syntax dan intensitas aktivitas. Objek penelitian ini adalah Plaza Semanggi yang merupakan mixused building di kawasan Semanggi Jakarta Selatan yang di dalamnya terdapat fungsi shopping center. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui konfigurasi ruang sirkulasi Plaza Semanggi apakah sudah mencapai efektif dan efisien bagi pengunjung untuk dapat menggapai seluruh retail dan tenant dengan baik. Untuk mengetahui konfigurasi ruang,sirkulasinya analisis yang digunakan adalah hubungan ruang (connectivity) dan pencapaian ruang (integrity) pada ruang sirkulasi shopping center Plaza Semanggi. Space syntax digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan dan pencapaian ruang gerak pengunjung di dalam ruang sirkulasi shopping center Plaza Semanggi agar ditemukannya korelasi dari kedua nilai tersebut untuk mengetahui nilai kejelasan ruang (intelligibility) dari konfigurasi ruang sirkulasi shopping center Plaza Semanggi.
English Abstract
Shopping center today is a lifestyle of people, especially urban communities. The offers convenience and concept of merging activities, make shopping center more attractive to the public. In the public spaces, in shopping center, the configuration of space need determined with effectively and efficiently on the structure of space to make public can recognize and identify the space well. The pattern of the room’s network is one of the important components that can affect the quality aspect of space, which in this case is the permeability and accessibility (Carmona et al: 2003), so the effective and efficient space can be achieved by good accessibilities in the configuration of space, with the simple meaning have a good circulation of space. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the good configuration of space at the shopping center, especially in space for public users (visitors) in the form of circulation space. Due to the efficient and effective space makes visitors can understand the space well, and also can reach all the retails in the shopping center. The efficiency and effectiveness of the circulation space is reviewed through good accessibility in the configuration of the circulation space achieved through space syntax analysis and intensity of activity analysis. The object of this research is Plaza Semanggi, which is a mixused building in Semanggi area of South Jakarta, in which there is shopping center in there. This research is conducted to know the configuration of circulation space of Plaza Semanggi whether it has reached effective and efficient for visitors to reach all retail and tenant well. To know the configuration of space, one of the concept approach used is the connectivity of space and the integrity of space in the circulation’s configuration of shopping center Plaza Semanggi. Space syntax is used to determine the connectivity and the integrity of visitor space in the circulation of shopping center Plaza Semanggi, to find the correlation of the two values to know the intelligibility of the circulation in the configuration of shopping center Plaza Semanggi.
