Abstract
Embung adalah bangunan konservasi air berbentuk kolam untuk menampung air hujan pada musim kemarau. Di Kabupaten Toba Samosir terdapat banyak daerahapersawahan yang hanya mengandalkan air hujan. Hal ini membuat potensi pertaniannya maenjadi terhambat karena kurang maksimalnyaaketersediaan kebutuhan air irigasi. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, upaya yang dapat dilakukan yaitu dengan membangun embung untuk mensuplai kebutuhan air irigasi di Daerah Irigasi Toba Samosir yang dapat dimanfaatkan pada musim kemarau. Tujuan utama dari studi ini adalah untuk merencanakan dimensi Embung Bonan Dolok yang aman dari aspek teknis. Tahap perencanaan embung meliputi beberapa tahap.Tahap pertama, analisis hidrologi untuk menghitung debit banjir rancangan, setelah itu dilakukan analisis neraca air guna mengetahui kebutuhan air dan kapasitas tampungan. Dari analisis tersebut selanjutnya direncanakan dimensi tubuh embung dan pelimpah. Kemudian, dilakukan analisis stabilitas terhadap lereng tubuh embung dan pelimpah untuk mengetahui agar dimensi yang direncanakan sudah sesuai. Dari hasil analisis yang sudah dilakukan, didapatkan tinggi embung 15 meter dengan tinggi embung berada pada elevasi +1059 m, lebar puncak embung 5,9 m, kemiringan hulu 1 : 3, kemiringan hilir 1 : 3, dan volume tampungan efektif sebesar 34.618,38 m3,volume tampungan mati 146,00 m3, volume tampungan total 34.764,38 m3. Sedangkan bangunan pelimpah yang digunakan adalah overflow type dengan lebar pelimpah 7 m dengan puncak mercu pelimpah berada pada elevasi +1057 m. Dalam analisis stabilitas, analisis yang digunakan dalam stabilitas lereng embung yaitu dengan metode Fellenius dan dari hasil analisis didapatkan angka keamanan yang memenuhiisyarat. Untuk analisis stabilitas pelimpah terhadap gaya uplift, gaya geser, gaya guling dan daya dukung tanah dalam keadaan normal dan juga gempa didapatkan angka aman yang telah memenuhiisyarat.
English Abstract
Small Dam is a water conservation building in the form of pool to accommodate rain water during the dry season. In the Toba Samosir District, the water for rice fields was only supplied from rainwater. This may cause a limitation to increase the agriculture potential of this district. In addition, the domestic water needs for urban and rural areas are also limited. To solve these problems, an effort that can be done is to build a small dam to supply water for irrigation and domestic needs in the Toba Samosir Irrigation Area that reserves in the rainy season and can be used efficiently in the dry season. The main objective of this study is to design the dimension of Bonan Dolok Small Dam that meet the safety from any engineering aspects The planning stage of construction small dam includesseveral steps.The first step is hydrological analysis to calculating flood flow, the next step is water balance analysis to supply water and storage capacity.After that, the basin body dimension small dam and the spillway would be design. Finally, the stability of the body slope small dam and the spillway was analyzed to ensure that dimension planned was aplicable. As the result of this study, it is found that the height of the embankment was 15 meters with the height of the dam at the elevation of +1059 m, the width of embankment crest is 5.9 m and the slope of the upstream and the downstream was 1: 3. From the volume capacity analysis, the effective volume is 34,618.38 m3 with the dead storage volume is 146,00 m3 and a total storage volume is 34,764,38 m3. The spillway used was an overflow type that has a width of 7 m with the crest of the spillway was located at +1057 m elevation. From stability analysis using Fellenius method it can be evaluated that the embankment was safe against the rotational slide. For stability analysis of spillway in normal and earthquake condition it is observed that the structure is safe against uplift, shear and overturning force and had an adequate strength for its soil bearing capacity.
