Abstract
UB Forest merupakan hutan yang dimiliki Universitas Brawijaya dan sebagai salah satu fokus penelitian prodi pariwisata FIA UB. Salah satunya di bidang pariwisata yaitu wisata green eco friendly. UB Forest yang baru diresmikan pada 19 September 2016 membutuhkan perencanaan yang matang dalam penerapan konsep ekowisata dan pastinya masih ada permasalahan-permasalahan yang harus diselesaikan dalam penerapan tersebut. Salah satu permasalahan yang muncul adalah mengenai peran serta masyarakat yang harus ditingkatkan melalui strategi yang diharapkan akan membantu pengelola (Universitas Brawijaya) dalam menentukan tindakan yang akan diambil. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian, yaitu (1) Menelaah peran serta masyarakat dalam penerapan ekowisata di kawasan UB Forest (2) Menelaah strategi peningkatan peran serta masyarakat dalam penerapan ekowisata di kawasan UB Forest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Peran serta masyarakat Dusun Sumbersari sudah ada akan tetapi masih belum maksimal. Belum maksimalnya masyarakat untuk berperan serta dikarenakan sebagai berikut: belum ada kegiatan budaya, belum membentuk kelompok sadar wisata (POKDARWIS), belum bisa mempromosikan ekowisata didaerahnya, dan belum terkoordinasinya stakeholders yang terkait yaitu pengelola (Universitas Brawijaya), pemerintah, dan masyarakat yang masih berjalan sendiri-sendiri. (2) Strategi dalam meningkatkan peran serta masyarakat dilakukan dengan cara mengikutsertakan masyarakat dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi penerapan ekowisata, mensosialisasikan konsep ekowisata ke stakehoders, meningkatkan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia, membentuk POKDARWIS (Kelompok Sadar Wisata), mengaktifkan dan mengefektifkan pertemuan forum warga, membuat lapangan pekerjaan dibidang pariwisata, memberikan pelatihan mengenai pengolahan kopi, mengaktifkan kesenian daerah serta membangun sarana dan prasarana. Berdasarkan uraian, peneliti memberi rekomendasi kepada stakeholders atau pihak yang terkait yaitu Universitas Brawijaya selaku pengelola, pemerintah Kabupaten Malang, dan masyarakat Dusun Sumbersari.
English Abstract
UB Forest is a forest area owned by Universitas Brawijaya and it is one of the focuses of research for tourism program in FIA UB. One of them is in the field of tourism which is green eco friendly tourism. UB forest that is inaugurated on september 19th, 2016 requires careful planning in the application of eco tourism concept and there are many problems that have to be solved. One of the problems that arise is about the participation of the community that must be improved through a strategy that is expected to help the manager (UB) in determining the action that has to be taken. This research used qualitative descriptive method. Research goal , which are (1) Review the participation of the community in the application of ecotourism in the UB Forest area. (2) Review the strategy of increasing community participation in ecotourism implementation in UB Forest. Result of research showed that (1) the participation of society of Dusun Sumbersari is already exist and good enough but still not maximal. The participation of community is not maximized yet because of the following reason: there is no cultural activity, the community do not form a tourism conscious group/kelompok sadar wisata (POKDARWIS) yet, the community can not make ecotourism package yet, they can not be able to promote ecotourism in its area yet, they don’t have their own nursery cultivation of hard plants yet, lack of management and good organizing, and have not organized and coordinated with stakeholders yet such as managers (Universitas Brawijaya), government, and the community are still running independently. (2) the strategies to increase community participation are conducted by involving the community in planning, implementing and evaluating the application of ecotourism, socializing ecotourism concepts to stakeholders, improving the quality of human resources, establishing POKDARWIS (Kelompok sadar wisata), activating and streamlining citizen forum meetings , create jobs in the field of tourism, provide training on coffee processing, activate the region art and build facilities and infrastructure. Based on the description, the researcher gives recommendation to stakeholders or related parties such as Universitas Brawijaya as manager, the government of Malang Regency, and community of Sumbersari Village.
