Abstract
Dusun Ngadas, Kecamatan Poncokusumo, Kabupaten Malang terletak di TN-BTS. Casuarina junghuhniana Miq. memiliki nama lokal yaitu Cemara Gunung yang merupakan tanaman berbiji tertutup (Angiosperm), termasuk dalam Famili Casuarinaceae. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu 1) mengetahui karakteristik tanaman cemara gunung, 2) mengetahui pemanfaatan cemara gunung oleh masyarakat di Dusun Ngadas, Kec. Poncokusumo, Kab. Malang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada April – Desember 2017 di Dusun Nadas, Kecamatan Poncokusumo, Kabupaten Malang. Metode yang dilakukan yaitu studi pendahuluan, pengamatan cemara gunung di lapang, koleksi tanaman dengan pembuatan herbarium kering, wawancara secara langsung dan semi struktural dengan responden 30 responden. Analisis data dengan metode deskriptif dan UVs. Hasil penelitian yaitu struktur cemara gunung di Dusun Ngadas yaitu pohon dengan tinggi 10 – 20 m. Batang berdiameter 19 – 45 cm; terdapat tonjolan sisa pemotongan cabang; cabang banyak dan pendek, panjang 2 – 110 cm, diameter 5 – 15 cm, tumbuh dari tonjolan sisa pemotongan cabang. Struktur tersebut berbeda dari tanaman cemara pada umumnya, karena pengaruh pemangkasan cabang utama yang terlalu pucuk sehingga pertumbuhan tanaman terhambat serta pembentukan bunga dan biji juga sedikit atau bahkan tidak ada. Masyarakat menggunakan cemara gunung sebagai kayu bakar, arang, teknologi lokal, pedanyangan, dan pertanian. Tanaman ini memiliki nilai UVs yaitu 6,9 yang menunjukkan tanaman tersebut sangat penting bagi masyarakat di Dusun Ngadas.
English Abstract
Ngadas Hamlet, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency is located in TN-BTS. Casuarina junghuhniana Miq. has a local name that is mountain ru (in English) which is a closed seed crop (Angiosperm), included in the Family Casuarinaceae. The purpose of this research is 1) to know the characteristics of mountain ru, 2) to know the utilization of mountain ru by the community in Ngadas Hamlet, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. This research was conducted on April - December 2017 in Nadas Hamlet, Poncokusumo Subdistrict, Malang Regency. The methods is observation of mountain ru in the field, the collection of plants with the manufacture of dried herbarium, interviews directly and semi-structural with 30 respondents. Data analysis by descriptive method and UVs. The result of this research is mountain ru structure at Ngadas Hamlet that is tree with height 10 - 20 m. Trunk diameter 19 - 45 cm; there is a bulge of residual cutting branches; the branches are numerous and short, length 2 - 110 cm, diameter 5 - 15 cm, growing from the remaining branching bulge. The structure is different from mountain ru in general, due to the effect of pruning the main branches that are too shoots so that the growth of plants is hampered and the formation of flowers and seeds is also little or no. People use mountain firs as firewood, charcoal, local technology, pedanyangan, and agriculture. This plant has a UVs value of 6.9 which shows the plant is very important for the community in Hamlet Ngadas.
