Abstract
Penelitian ini membahas tentang kepentingan nasional Arab Saudi intervensi militer yang dilakukan oleh Arab Saudi terhadap konflik bersenjata antara kelompok Houthi dan pemerintah Yaman pada tahun 2015 mengandung unsur kepentingan nasional didalamnya. Berbicara mengenai kepentingan nasional, penulis menggunakan konsep dari Donald E Nuechterlein. Menurut Nuechterlein, kepentingan nasional dibagi menjadi empat jenis, diantaranya adalah Defence Interest, Economic Interest, World Order Interest, dan Ideological Interest. Konsep Nuechterlein membantu penulis dalam menganalisa bagaimana kepentingan nasional Arab Saudi melalui dengan membaginya kedalam empat jenis kepentingan nasional serta menganalisa intensitas kepentingan Arab Saudi.
English Abstract
This research discusses Saudi Arabia’s national interest in the military intervention by Saudi Arabia against the armed conflict between the Houthi and Yemeni governments in the year 2015 which contain elements of national interest. In this conflict, Saudi Arabia supports the Yemeni government. Speaking of national interest, the author uses Donald E. Nuechterlein’s concept as the sole purpose of this study. According to Nuechterlein, Saudi Arabia’s national interest is divided into four types, those of which include Defence Interest, Economic Interest, World Order Interest, and Ideological Interest. Nuechterlein’s concept also helps the author in analyzing how the Saudi’s national interests proceeds by dividing them into four types of national interests while also analyzing the intensity of Saudi Arabian interests.
