Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara harga diri dengan asertivitas pada siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Metode penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan skala harga diri yang disusun bedasarkan teori Rosenberg (1965) dan skala asertivitas yang disusun bedasarkan teori Rathus (1975). Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel yaitu Accidental Sampling. Uji coba penelitian ini menggunakan 45 siswa SMP. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini menggunakan 143 siswa SMP. Hasil penelitian dengan analisis product moment pearson yang menunjukan tidak ada korelasi antara harga diri dengan asertivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis tambahan yaitu regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian dengan regresi berganda adalah terdapat korelasi antara harga diri positif dengan asertvitas dan tidak terdapat korelasi antara harga diri negatif dengan asertivitas.

English Abstract

The research aims to find out a relation between self esteem and assertiveness of student junior high school. This study is a correlation quantitative. To measure self esteem, this study uses a scale based on theories Rosenberg (1965) and assertivenees based on theories Rathus (1975). The sampling method used in this study is a accidental sampling. This research method is first tried out on 45 student junior high school. The reaserch’s subjects are 143 student junior high school. While the reliability test is cronbach-Alpha. The result of the research by product moment pearson analysis showed no correlation between self-esteem and assertiveness. This study uses additional analysis that is multiple regression. The result of the research with multiple regression is there is correlation between positive self esteem with assertiveness and there is no correlation between negative self esteem with assertivity.
