Abstract
Skripsi ini membahas pemodelan persamaan gelombang air dangkal dengan dan tanpa adanya pengaruh rotasi bumi. Persamaan gelombang air dangkal diperoleh dari persamaan gerak Euler, dan diturunkan dengan asumsi panjang gelombang dan kecepatan horizontal jauh lebih besar daripada kedalaman fluida dan kecepatan vertikal. Dengan adanya rotasi, persamaan gelombang air dangkal tiga dimensi memperoleh penambahan suku gaya Coriolis, sedangkan untuk memperoleh persamaan gelombang air dangkal dua dimensi dengan adanya rotasi, dilakukan pengintegralan persamaan gelombang air dangkal tiga dimensi terhadap kedalaman fluida.
English Abstract
This final project investigates modelling of shallow water equation with and without presence of earth’s rotation. Shallow water equation is derived from Euler equation with the assumption that the wavelength and horizontal velocity are much larger than the depth of the fluid and vertical velocity. Due to the presence of rotation, the three-dimensional shallow water equation has additional Coriolis force term. To obtain two dimensional shallow water equation with the presence of rotation, equation of the threedimensional shallow water equation are integrated over the depth of fluid.
