Abstract

Hair spray merupakan salah satu kosmetik rambut yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat, baik dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maupun pada acara tertentu. Terdapat salah satu bahan aktif yang bersifat toksik dalam kandungan hair spray, yaitu Cocamide DEA. Fungsi dari cocamide DEA adalah sebagai surfaktan. Apabila partikel hair spray masuk kedalam tubuh secara berkelanjutan, maka dapat mengalami gangguan sistem kerja ginjal. Ginjal termasuk ke dalam sistem ekskresi karena berfungsi untuk mengeluarkan urin. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisa pengaruh pemberian antioksidan ekstrak GisOliRe terhadap gambaran mikroskopis kerusakan ginjal pada mencit. Penelitian ini menggunakan hewan coba yaitu mencit jantan yang berusia 2-3 bulan. Beberapa mencit dipapari oleh hairs pray dengan varian dosis. Pemaparan hair spray ini dilakukan setiap hari selama 14 hari. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat kerusakan pada sel-sel organ ginjal. Kerusakan sel ginjal maksimum terdapat pada 8x semprotan, dengan persentase kerusakan rata-rata ginjal yaitu 46,30 %. Pemberian antioksidan GisOliRe mampu mengurangi kerusakan rata-rata ginjal menjadi 9,61 %. Terbukti bahwa antioksidan GisOliRe mampu mengurangi kerusakan yang terdapat pada sel-sel ginjal.

English Abstract

Hair spray is one of hair cosmetics that is often used by the community, both in daily life and on certain events. There is one active ingredient that is toxic in the content of hair spray, that is Cocamide DEA. The function of cocamide DEA is a surfactant. If the hair spray particles enter the body in a sustainable manner, it can experience immune system disorders in kidneys. The kidneys are included in the excretory system because kidneys are responsible for urine excretion. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of antioxidant from GisOliRe extract on microscopic images of kidney damage in mice. This study were applied in male mice aged from 2-3 months. Some mice were exposed by hair spray with variant doses, i.e. Hair spray exposure were done every day for 14 days. The results show that there are damages to the cells of the kidney organs. Maximum kidney cell damage was present in 8x sprays, with the percentage average of renal impairment of 46.30%. Gave the antioxidant GisOliRe extract, to reduce damage to average in the kidney to 9.61%. Proven that the antioxidant GisOliRe was able to reduce damage found in kidney cells.
