Abstract
Infeksi Protozoa Usus merupakan salah satu penyakit zoonosis tersering. Penyakit ini bisa disebabkan oleh semua agen patogenik terutama protozoa yang akan menimbulkan manifestasi klinis tersering yaitu berupa diare. Protozoa yang sering menginfeksi sapi perah adalah Cryprosporidum sp. yang dapat ditemukan di dalam feses sapi dalam bentuk oocysta. Salah satu faktor yang dinilai dapat mempengaruhi jumlah protozoa usus penyebab diare yang ditemukan pada feses sapi perah ialah tingkat pengetahuan peternak sapi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara tingkat pengetahuan peternak tentang protozoa usus penyebab diare dengan jumlah ookista yang ditemukan pada feses sapi perah di Desa Beji. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh sapi perah (Bos taurus) dan peternak sapi perah di Desa Beji. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan sampel penelitian berupa feses sapi dan kuisioner sebanyak 50 sampel. Sampel diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling dan sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Dari uji analisis data didapatkan ada hubungan yang signifikan (p < 0.05) antara kedua variabel. Hubungan tersebut menunjukkan semakin tinggi pengetahuan peternak mengenai protozoa usus penyebab diare maka akan mempengaruhi jumlah ookista pada feses sapi secara signifikan.
English Abstract
The most common zoonotic disease is infection of Intestinal Protozoa .This disease can be caused by all pathogenic agents, especially protozoa that will cause the most common clinical manifestation of diarrhea. The protozoa most commonly infecting dairy cows is Cryprosporidum sp. which can be found in cow feces in the form of oocysta. One factor considered to affect the number of zoonotic parasites found in dairy cow feces is the knowledge level of cattle breeder. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a relationship between the level of knowledge of farmers about protozoa intestinal causes of diarrhea with the number of oocyst found in the feces of dairy cattle in the Beji village. This research is an observational analytic research using cross sectional approach. The population in this research is all dairy cows (Bos taurus) and dairy farmers in Beji Village.This research was conducted by collecting the sample of cow feces and questionnaire as much as 50 samples. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique and according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. From the data analysis test found there is a significant relationship (p <0.05) between the two variables. The relationship indicates that the higher knowledge of breeder about protozoa of intestine cause of diarrhea will influence the number of oocyst in cow feces significantly.
