Abstract

Green campus ialah sistem pendidikan, penelitian, pengabdian masyarakat dan lokasi yang ramah lingkungan serta melibatkan warga kampus dalam aktifitas lingkungan serta harus berdampak positif bagi lingkungan, ekonomi dan sosial. UI GreenMetric World University Ranking digunakan sebagai penilaian komitmen pimpinan universitas terhadap terlaksananya konsep kampus hijau dan kampus berkelanjutan. Diantara indikator-indikator pembentuk green campus, kategori education merupakan kategori yang membedakan green campus dengan green building. Penelitian ini berfokus pada evaluasi penerapan green campus education category di Universitas Brawijaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Evaluasi yang dilakukan yaitu analisis kesenjangan (gap analysis) terhadap hasil perolehan skor dengan kondisi ideal berdasarkan standar education category pada UI GreenMetric World University Ranking. Persentase terbesar diperoleh oleh sustainability website dengan 59,8%. Dilihat dari semua indikator yakni ED1, ED2, ED3, ED4, ED5, dan ED6 sudah lebih baik dari rata-rata perguruan tinggi lainnya. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan maka diperoleh range persentase skoring berkisar antara 32% - 100% dengan rata-rata 73,5%, sedangkan hasil persentase gap berada pada kisaran 0% - 68% dengan rata-rata 26,5%. Usulan strategi untuk meningkatkan skor pada UI GreenMetric adalah kelengkapan pengisian data pendukung, organizational structure and responsibility, environmental management plan, viii environmental policy, training and awereness, monitoring dan evaluasi, public relation campaign, dan sosialisasi.

English Abstract

The Green campus is a system of education, research, community service and an environmentally friendly location and involves campus residents in environmental activities and must have a positive impact on the environment, economic and social. UI GreenMetric World University Ranking is used as an assessment of the commitment of university leaders towards the implementation of the concept of green campus and sustainable campus. Among the indicators forming green campus, the category of education is a category that distinguishes green campus with green building. This research focuses on an evaluation of application of green campus education category in Brawijaya University. The method used in this research is the quantitative descriptive method. The Evaluation conducted is gap analysis (gap analysis) to the results of score scores with ideal conditions based on education category standards in UI GreenMetric World University Ranking. The largest percentage was obtained by sustainability website with 59.8%. Seen from all indicators that ED1, ED2, ED3, ED4, ED5, and ED6 are better than the average of other colleges. Based on the calculation, the scoring percentage ranges from 32%-100% with an average of 73.5%, while the gap percentage is in the range 0%-68% with an average of 26.5%. The proposed strategy to improve the score on UI GreenMetric is the completeness of supporting data, organizational structure and responsibility, environmental management plan, environmental policy, training and x awareness, monitoring, and evaluation, public relations campaign, and socialization.
