Abstract

Acinetobacter baumannii merupakan bakteri yang sering menyebabkan infeksi nosokomial dan resisten terhadap berbagai golongan antibiotik, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk menemukan antimikroba alternatif. Salah satunya seperti kulit jeruk nipis yang memiliki kandungan tannin, saponin, alkaloid, dan flavonoid yang dapat bekerja sebagai antimikroba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek antimikroba ekstrak kulit jeruk nipis terhadap Acinetobacter baumannii. Metode yang digunakan adalah difusi sumuran untuk mengetahui pada konsentrasi berapa ekstrak kulit jeruk nipis dapat menghambat pertumbuhan Acinetobacter baumannii. Hal tersebut dilakukan dengan cara mengukur zona hambat yang terbentuk disekitar lubang sumuran. Konsentrasi ektstrak yang digunakan adalah 10%, 12%, 14%, 16%, 18%, dan 100%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diameter zona hambat yang terbentuk dari masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak tersebut secara berurutan adalah sebesar 7,3 mm, 7,8 mm, 8,7 mm, 9,0 mm, 9,3 mm, dan 16,6 mm. Hasil uji Kruskall-Wallis menunjukkan ada perbedaan efek yang bermakna pada setiap pemberian konsentrasi ektrak terhadap diameter zona hambat yang terbentuk (p=0,000). Uji korelasi Spearman menunjukkan adanya terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pemberian ekstrak dengan diameter zona hambat (Korelasi, R=0,974; p=0,000).

English Abstract

Acinetobacter baumannii is a bacterium that often causes nosocomial infections and resistant to various classes of antibiotics, which needs to do some research to find alternative antimicrobials. One of the alternative is lime peel that has tannin content, saponins, alkaloids, and flavonoids, can work as an antimicrobial. This study aims to determine the effect of antimicrobial extract of lime peel against Acinetobacter baumannii. The method used is the well diffusion to determine the concentration of how the extract of lime peel can inhibit the growth of Acinetobacter baumannii. This research was done by measuring the inhibition zone formed around the well. The concentration used was 10%, 12%, 14%, 16%, 18%, and 100%. Based on the research results, the inhibition zone diameters formed from each concentration of the extract were respectively 7.3 mm, 7.8 mm, 8.7 mm, 9.0 mm, 9.3 mm, and 16.6 mm . The result of Kruskall-Wallis test shows that there is a significant effect difference at each extract concentration to the inhibitory zone diameter (p = 0,000). Spearman test showed that there was a significant correlation between giving extract and drag zone diameter (Correlation, R = 0,974; p = 0,000).
