Abstract
Penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai struktur linguistic paranomasia pada komik strip Tahilalats dengan menggunakan keterangan dan konteks cerita. Terdapat dua rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini: 1) Apa saja struktur linguistic paranomasia yang ditemukan pada komik strip Tahilalats di Webtoon? Dan 2) bagaimana struktur linguistic pranamoasia membuat efek humor pada komik strip Tahilalats di Webtoon? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dalam analisa untuk menganalisa struktur linguistic paranomasia yang ditemukan di Webtoon komik strip berjudul Tahilalats dengan mentranskrip keterangan dari tulisan pada komik. Data disajikan dalam bentuk table untuk membuat pembaca lebih mudah memahami karena penulis menggunakan dua teori struktur linguistic paranomasia oleh Delabastita (1996) dan teori umum humor verbal oleh Attardo (1994). Penelitian ini menemukan lima kategori struktur linguistic paranomasia pada komik strip Tahilalats seperti fonologi dan grafologi, struktur leksikal (polisemi), struktur leksikal (idiom), struktur morfologi, dan struktur sintaksis. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa Target pada teori GTVH tidak memiliki peran yang penting untuk membuat cerita menjadi lucu. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan untuk meneliti humor pada objek lain seperti novel atau acara radio, atau menggunakan bahasa tradisional untuk diteliti dengan menggunakan teori lain dari humor verbal.
English Abstract
The writer conducted a study about linguistic structure of pun in Tahilalats comic strip using the caption and the context of the story. There were two problems of the study: 1) What are the linguistic structure of pun found in Tahilalats comic strip on Webtoon? And 2) How do the linguistic structures of pun take place in creating humorous effect in Tahilalats comic strip on Webtoon?. This study used qualitative approach in document analysis to analyse the linguistic structure of pun found in Tahilalats comic strip on Webtoon with transcribed caption from the comic. The data were presented into the table to make the reader easy to understand since the writer using two theories of linguistic structure of pun from Delabastita (1996) and the general theory of verbal humor by Attardo (1994) This study discovered five categories of linguistic structure of pun found in Tahilalats comic strip on Webtoon that are phonological and graphological, lexical structure (polysemy), lexical structure (idiom), morphologica, and syntactic structure. This study also discovers that the Target KR of GTVH did not have a big role to make the story funny. Through this study, the future researchers are expected to investigate humor in other objects like novel or radio show, or use other languages like traditional language to investigate with other theories of verbal humor.
