Rosyid, Abdur (2017) Prevalensi Gangguan Kesehatan (Compromised Health) Pada Karang Keras Di Teluk Prigi Kabupaten Trenggalek Jawa Timur. Sarjana thesis, Universitas Brawijaya.
Abstract
English Abstract
Compromised health is a potential factor for coral mortality. it causes physical damage, slow growth rate, and inducing coral disease on coral. Compromised health has several types including sediment damage, algal overgrowth, sponge overgrowth, cyanobacteria overgrowth, unusual bleaching patterns, pigmentation response and flatworm infestation. Three stations were observed using underwater photography analysis on 100x1 m belt transect at each station. This reseach was observed 1.254 colonies at station 1, 816 colonies at station 2, 2.987 colonies at station 3. Nineteen genus and 10 coral families were identified from all stations. Montipora from Acroporidae family is dominating all observation stations. Here we report 2.243 colonies at station 3, 570 colonies at station 2, and 421 colonies at station 1 compromised by sediment. Cyanobacteria was found compromising 10 colonies at station 1, 18 colonies at station 2, 14 colonies at station 3. Red filament algae was found compromising 38 colonies at station 1, 44 colonies at station 2, 45 colonies at station 3. Sponge was found compromising 10 colonies at station 1, 33 colonies at station 2, 45 colonies at station 3. Pigmentation response was found on 45 colonies at station 1, 9 colonies at station 2, 22 colonies at station 3.
