Abstract
ASI merupakan makanan utama bagi bayi. Meningkatkan pemberian ASI dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah status sosial ekonomi orang tua, yang diukur dilihat dari karakteristik pendidikan, pekerjaan dan pendapatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan status sosial ekonomi pasangan orang tua dengan pemberian ASI pada bayi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dinoyo, dengan menggunakan metode penelitian cross sectional. Sampel terdiri dari 52 responden yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling dan pengambilan data menggunakan lembar kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi pasangan orang tua dengan pemberian ASI pada bayi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Dinoyo dengan nilai p = 0,017 (pekerjaan ayah), p= 0,000 (pekerjaan ibu), p= 0,008 (pendapatan keluarga), p= 0,034 (pendidikan ayah) dan p= 0,038 (pendidikan ibu). Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan edukasi dan pelatihan tentang pemberian ASI Eksklusif khususnya pada ibu yang bekerja serta meningkatkan upaya preventif kepada ibu hamil untuk mempersiapkan pemberian ASI sampai usia 6 bulan.
English Abstract
Breast milk is the main food for babies. Improving breastfeeding is influenced by several factors, one of them is socioeconomic status of parents, as measured by the characteristics of education, occupation and income. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship of socio-economic status of parents couples with breastfeeding in infants in the work area of Dinoyo Puskesmas, using cross sectional research method. The sample consisted of 52 respondents selected by purposive sampling method and data collection using questionnaire. The results of this study there is a significant correled between the socio-economic status of parents couples with breastfeeding infants in the work area of Puskesmas Dinoyo with p = 0,017 (father occupation), p= 0,000 (mother occupation), p= 0,008 (family income), p= 0,034 (father education) dan p= 0,038 (mother education). Suggestion in this study is to increase education and training about eksklusif breastfeeding especially for working mothers and to increase preventive effort for pregnant mother to prepare breastfeeding until 6 months old.
