Abstract
Lensa kontak lunak merupakan salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan sebagai pengoreksi kelainan refraksi ataupun sebagai kosmetik. Pengetahuan tentang lensa kontak lunak sangat penting dimiliki oleh penggunanya untuk pencegahan agar tidak terjadi komplikasi. Perilaku penggunaan yang kurang tepat terhadap lensa kontak lunak dapat memicu kerusakan kornea. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan terhadap perilaku penggunaan lensa kontak lunak pada mahasiswa di Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Brawijaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasional analitik dengan desain cross sectional study. Sampel diambil dari populasi mahasiswa semester VI TA. 2016/2017 yang menggunakan lensa kontak lunak dengan jumlah 90 orang yang dipilih dengan teknik total sampling. Data didapat dari kuesioner yang diisi oleh mahasiswa pengguna lensa kontak lunak. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat pengetahuan dengan perilaku penggunaan lensa kontak lunak pada mahasiswa.
English Abstract
Soft lense is one of devices used to correct refractive error on human or as cosmetic use. The knowledge of soft lense is important to avoid some complications that might caused some fatally effects. The careless usage of soft lense can be harmful to the cornea. This research aims to find correlation between the knowledge of soft lense and the behavior of soft lense use by students of Faculty of Medicine Brawijaya University. The methodology used in this research is analytic observational with a cross sectional study design. The samples are taken from student population of 6th semester of TA. 2016/2017 who wear soft lense with 90 people selected with total sampling technique. The data are taken from questionnaires by student who wear soft lenses. The result shown on this research is there is a significant correlation between the knowledge of soft lense towards the behavior of soft lense use by the students.
