Abstract
Diabetes Melitus tipe 2 ditandai dengan adanya resistensi insulin dan pada tahap akhir dapat terjadi kegagalan dari sel beta pankreas yang ditandai dengan penurunan massa sel β, deposisi intra-islet amyloid (IIA), serta deposisi lemak dalam pulau Langerhans pankreas. Ekstrak aseton kulit tomat di duga memiliki efek terhadap perbaikan diameter pulau Langerhans. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak aseton kulit tomat terhadap diameter pulau Langerhans pada tikus (Rattus norvegicus) galur Wistar model Diabetes melitus tipe 2. Penelitian ini menggunakan 20 ekor tikus yang di bagi menjadi lima kelompok yaitu kontrol negatif (normal), kontrol positif (model Diabetes melitus tipe 2 tanpa pemberian ekstrak), kelompok perlakuan dengan ekstrak aseton kulit tomat pada dosis 50mg/kgBB, 100mg/kgBB, dan 150mg/kgBB. English Abstract
Diabetes mellitus type 2 are characterized by insulin resistance and in the late stage could be a pancreatic beta-cell failure characterized by decrease beta-cell mass, deposition of intra-islet amyloid (IIA), and deposition of lipid in the pancreatic Langerhans islet. On the other hand, tomato skin acetone extract is suspected to have an effect on diameter improvement of Langerhans Islet. Thus, the aim of this research was to know the effect of tomato skin aceton extract on white rat (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar furrow used as the subject. It was Diabetes Mellitus type II model as the specification. This experiment used 20 rats and divide into 5 groups, they were negative control (normal), positive control, henceforth, there were tomato skin acetone extract doses for these groups was that 50mg/ KgW, 100mg/ KgW, and 150mg/ KgW.
