Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh dan jumlah terbaik pemanfaatan limbah kepala udang sebagai sumber protein pengganti tepung ikan dalam formula pakan terhadap aktivitas enzim protease benih ikan bawal air tawar (C. macropomum). Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen, menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan pakan isoprotein 31% dan isoenergi 295 kkal/100g dan masing – masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Perlakuan pakan yang digunakan adalah subtitusi protein tepung ikan dengan protein tepung limbah kepala udang yang terdiri A (0%), B (5%), C (10%), D (15%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan tepung limbah kepala udang sebagai sumber protein pengganti tepung ikan dengan persentase yang berbeda berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas enzim protease benih ikan bawal (C. macropomum). Pada penelitian ini didapatkan perlakuan terbaik pada pakan D (subtitusi limbah kepala udang 15%) untuk aktivitas enzim protease sebesar 155,61 μmol/mL.menit-1. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa protein tepung limbah kepala udang dapat disubstitusikan dengan protein tepung ikan hingga 15%.
English Abstract
The purpose of this research is to know the influence and the best amount of shrimp head waste utilization as a source of protein of fish meal substitute in feed formula to protease enzyme activity of freshwater pomfret (C. macropomum). Methods in this study were experiments, using Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 4 treatment of isoprotein 31% and isoenergi 295 kcal / 100 g and each treatment was repeated 3 times. The feeding treatment used was substitution of fish meal protein with shrimp head protein waste consisting of A (0%), B (5%), C (10%), D (15%). The results showed that the utilization of shrimp head flour as a source of protein of fish meal substitute with different percentage have an effect on to protease enzyme activity of pomfret seed (C. macropomum). In this research, the best treatment of D (15% shrimp waste substitution) for protease enzyme activity was 155,61 μmol / mL.menit-1. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the protein of shrimp head waste head can be substituted with fish meal protein up to 15%.
