Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada pola komunikasi ayah pada anak yang mengalami konflik perjodohan. Karena ide gagasan perjodohan dari ayah maka konflik yang muncul adalah antara anak terhadap ayahnya. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena, melihat pentingnya tentang potensi konflik yang terjadi pada perjodohan. dari temuan data riset dilapangan ternyata pola komunikasi keluarga memiliki hubungan dengan bagaimana anak dalam menanggapi suatu konflik. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dua orang anak yang mengalami konflik perjodohan dengan ayahnya. penelitian ini menjadi penting ketika pola komunikasi keluarga ternyata memiliki hubungan dengan conflict style atau bagaimana anak menyikapi dan menanggapi konflik. Konsep teori pola komunikasi keluarga conformity dan conversation digunakan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pola komunikasi ayah pada anak yang mengalami konflik perjodohan dengan ayahnya. serta konsep conflict style untuk mengetahui bagaimana anak menyikapi konflik tersebut dari wawancara mendalam dapat diperoleh pola komunikasi keluarga melalui kedekatan hubungan, intensitas komunikasi,proses pengambilan keputusan penting anak, proses pengambilan keputusan perjodohan. kemudian Conflict style digunaan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana anak dalam menanggapi konflik perjodohan tersebut. dari informan yang pertama Dian dengan keluarga dimensi tinggi conversation dan rendah conformity akan menyikapi konflik dengan menggunakan style conflict collaborating, sementara Veri dengan dengan dimensi keluarga tinggi conformity dan rendah conversation akan menanggapi konflik dengan avoiding juga accommodation.
English Abstract
This research focus on family comunication pattern, of children who experienced matchmaking marriage conflict. Because of the idea of matchmaking marriage come from father, conflict that comes out is between children and their father. This research is conducted in order to prove the importance of conflict potency which may exist in matchmaking marriage. From the literature review, family communication pattern has the the implication whit how children in response conflict. This research was applied on two children who experienced matchmaking marrieage with their parents. It could be important when the family communication pattern hac relevantion with conflict style or on how children response to the conflict. The concept of family communication theory, conformity and conversation were applied to explain on how father communicate with his children who experienced match making marriage. And also conflict style in order to understand how children response to conflict. Based on deep interview was gained family communication pattern through relationship closeness, communication intens, decision making process of the children life, decision making process of matchmaking marriage. Then, conflict style was applied in order to explain how children response the matchmaking conflict. From the first informan Dian, who comes from the family with high converstion and low conformity orientation will response to conflict by using collaborating. While the second informan Veri who comes from the family with high on conformity but low conversation will response conflict with avoiding and also accomodation.
