Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi teknis bank umum swasta nasional devisa selama periode 2006 - 2015 serta variabel-variabel apa saja yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data kuantitatif dengan metode DEA untuk mengetahui tingkat efisiensi bank, serta menggunakan regresi data panel untuk mengetahui variabel-variabel yang mempengaruhi tingkat efisiensi. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat efisiensi bank umum swasta nasional di Indonesia bervariasi mulai dari yang telah beroperasi dengan efisien sampai dengan yang beroperasi kurang efisien. Selain itu, hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa variabel ukuran bank, tingkat kesehatan bank (CAR), dan tingkat risiko (NPL) berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap tingkat efisiensi bank. Sedangkan variabel tingkat profitabilitas (ROA) tidak berpengaruh terhadap tingkat efisiensi bank.

English Abstract

This paper aims to determine the level of technical efficiency of private foreign exchange banks during the period 2006-2015 and to figure which variables are influence it. This research uses quantitative data analysis technique with DEA method to find out bank efficiency level, and use panel data regression to know the variables that influence efficiency level. This study shows that the efficiency level of private foreign exchange banks in Indonesia varies from those that have operated efficiently to those that operate less efficiently. In addition, the results of the study also showed that bank size variables, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), and Non Performing Loan (NPL) significantly influence the level of bank efficiency. While the variable Return on Assets (ROA) does not affect the level of bank efficiency.
