Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan emotional expressivity terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada suami yang memiliki istri berkarir. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 90 orang suami yang memiliki istri berkarir full time dengan usia pernikahan 5-10 tahun. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala adaptasi emotional expressivity yang mengacu pada Self-Expressiveness Family Questionnaire (SEFQ) yang dikembangkan oleh Halberstadt (1983) berjumlah 29 item dan skala adaptasi kepuasan pernikahan yang mengacu pada 10 aspek kepuasan pernikahan ENRICH marital satisfaction scale yang dikemukakan oleh Fowers dan Olson (1989). Analisis data dilakukan dengan Product Moment Pearson dengan bantuan SPSS 2.0 for windows sehingga diperoleh hubungan emotional expressivity terhadap kepuasan pernikahan pada suami yang memiliki istri berkarir dengan korelasi koefisien sebesar 0.294 Dan signifikansi sebesar 0.005 (p≤ 0.05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif antara emotional expressivity terhadap kepuasan pernikahan suami yang memiliki istri berkarir, semakin tinggi emotional expressivity yang dimiliki maka semakin tinggi pula kepuasan pernikahan yang dirasakan oleh suami.
English Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the relationship of emotional expressivity to marital satisfaction in husbands who have a career wife. The number of samples in this study as many as 90 people whose husbands have full-time career wife with 5-10 years of marriage age. Research method using quantitative method.The data were collected by using adaptation scale of emotional expressivity which refer to Self-Expressiveness Family Questionnaire (SEFQ) by Halberstadt (1983) amounted to 29 items and ENRICH’s Marital Satisfaction Scale adaptation which refers to the 10 aspects of marital satisfaction by Fowers and Olson (1989) were used as an instrument for collecting data of marital satisfaction. Data analysis was done by using Product Moment Pearson with the help of SPSS 2.0 for windows so that the result of emotional expressivity relationship to marital satisfaction on husband who have wife career with correlation coefficient of 0.294 And significance of 0.005 (p≤ 0.05). Based on the results of this study can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between emotional expressivity to the marital satisfaction of husbands who have a career wife, the higher the emotional expressivity possessed the higher the satisfaction of marital felt by the husband.
